QUOTE(swn525 @ Feb 5 2018, 01:36 PM) can, some JR train need buy special fast ticket only but why? kyoto already have bus pass, cover most area in kyoto, just 500 yen per day osaka pass is most worth,1 day 2500 yen, 2 days 3300 yen, cover all subway & attraction, example osaka castle, osaka castle cruise, Tsutenkaku Tower, Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden. i only use ICOCA with some JR train & a bit subway only remember buy ICOCA with Haruka, then choose special design on ICOCA Hi, I am also planning to buy the Icoca+Haruka but the problem is that I have 3 kids. Have google around for Icoca for child, but not much info provided. Because as I know child Icoca is half price of adult fare and it also can purchase the Haruka discounted ticket as well. Can I purchase the child Icoca at Kansai Airport? For adults is it advisable to get Osaka Amazing Pass or just use the Icoca as I'll be in Osaka for 2 days (1 full day in USJ + 1 day sightseeing around Osaka) Thanks!!

QUOTE(Lynixx @ Feb 12 2018, 12:43 AM) is haruka necessary for me? as im just travel to osaka, kyoto and kobe. Haruka is a train that transfer you from Kansai airport to either Osaka, Kyoto or Nara. Just like KLIA Express. It’s either one way or round trip ticket.

QUOTE(swn525 @ Feb 11 2018, 10:00 PM) yes, base on the post here (Chinese info) https://nicklee.tw/?p=1146&cpage=1child icoca can buy in "green window", kansai airport JR is "green window" need fill up some form for child icoca good if you can confirm the child icoca for haruka has discount ticket i still recommend get 1 day for Osaka Amazing Pass (2500 yen), it very worth normal price for osaka castle (600yen), and the cruise beside osaka castle (1500yen), these 2 thing cost 2100 yen already and the subway.....1 day normal cost sure higher than the pass. QUOTE(sweet_pez @ Feb 12 2018, 10:16 AM) edmundck Yes, just like the above reply for the Kid's ICOCA. The cost is 2,000yen per piece for children's ICOCA card, with value of 1,500yen and 500yen as deposit. There is also a card/ system called "SMART ICOCA" for both adult and children but based on the description/ my understanding, it may not be applicable to foreigners. Most of the information on children's ICOCA card are in Japanese, but you can Google Translate them. https://detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/qu...ail/q1425307629https://xn--t8j1jva9ig0jxgycv870d.jp/icoca-buy-howto (under こどもICOCA) Thank you so much for the info. Appreciate it.

Hi, I have question regarding taxi in Kyoto. I'll be travelling there with my family, 3 adults and 3 kids (aged 4,8 & 9). Based on experience, will the driver let us ride together assuming one kid will be sitting on the adult lap?
Thanks.

QUOTE(Belphegor @ May 24 2018, 05:49 PM) From what I know they won't allow as every passenger above 6 has to wear seat belt. Don't try to beat the law especially you are out of country. QUOTE(RegentCid @ May 24 2018, 09:21 PM) Most of City Taxi are below 2000CC, count as medium / small size taxi. One normal taxi only can take 4 Pax You need 2 taxi. Age 1 also count as 1 pax Taking taxi at Japan always remember one important Rules. Never Never open the Taxi door by your self. Noted with thanks!
