Is it true that wrist watches are cheap in japan? I have scheduled Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe for June.

Depends on the brand you find, but yes some brands are generally cheaper like Casio since it is from Japan. Do scout around few shops to compare the prices. I went to few store, the price varies to almost extra JPY1,000. The shops I went to was Bicqlo, Bic Camera and shops around Akihabara area.

I'm wondering whether any fellow traveler here bought or can recommend kitchen knives in osaka, kyoto. Should i buy from elite shops like Tower knives or just at normal cutlery shops?
I'm keen to buy japanese quality knives.

Hi, going to Osaka later in the summer. Will be arriving there around 6am and should be out around 7/8am which is rush hour.

How packed would the train be from kansai airport to osaka/kyoto? We're going to bring quite a lot of luggages
*
I just came back last saturday. We took the morning 8am train from kyoto station to osaka kansai airport. It was not packed.
Just don't sit or store your luggage on the reserved coach if you bought a normal ticket. The coach inspector will come and check tickets.

Hi, which train did you use? Also, did you use a pass, ICOCA or bought a ticket manually?
*
I was using JR pass when I was there. It covers the trip back to Osaka Airport station.

Came back from Osaka last Saturday. Had a very bad experience with Booking.com & the host due to the Japan govt ruling.
My trip was frm 18/6 and I was not aware tht my reservation was cancelled on 15/6 bcos d email frm Booking went to my junk mail.
Went ahead with d trip and reached d place at 11.30pm to collect d keys frm letterbox which obviously was not there. Had to hunt for hotels and settled down at abt 2am.
Next day went back to collect d keys frm d keys management agent and onli then was told my reservation was cancelled.
No choice..Later on got email frm host telling me of 'no show'. He argued tht it was my fault and d keys was there. Utter nonsense
Contacted Booking & asked for refund and they later email d host. Also same respond. Now host very adamant and refused to refund.
Really kena cheated. The joke was d host said I tried to cheat them for asking for refund.
Now even Booking cant do much. Really bad timing

I arrived at Osaka on 18/6. Unfortunately, stranded at airport to queue for the bus to Kyoto for hours because of the earth quake.
Luckily for me my hotel did not cancel any booking even though I arrived at hotel at 1am.
