1. Going to Fuji Q and Hakone (Onsen and do all those Odakuwani, etc. trip) should I sleep at Hakone or just go back to Tokyo and the next day go back to enjoy? Pros going back is no need to bring luggage that's all lol

2. If going to Nikko, is it better to sleep there or how? I've read that it's a very big place but really unsure if should spend a night there. Yet again lazy to haul my big luggage prefer to make a base in Tokyo lol.

i'll be travelling to japan for 10 days in early nov. no itenary yet. but my main reason for going to japan is to head over to disneyland.

any other kid friendly places to recommend ? regardless tokyo or kyoto or hokkaido. i have 10 days. i saw in google maps there is a sea world beside disneyland. worth going ?

i have 10 days there before i board off to milan.
from the maps, i know its possible for me to spend 3 days in tokyo (if necessary) and 6 days in kyoto as it is only couple of hours away. i have not made any itenary yet as i'm still searching for interesting places which are meant for kids. baby friendly is optional.

it isnt exactly 3 diff places. its still not far off tokyo unlike okinawa. though i've not filtered my places of interests yet nor set a route, i'd like to spend more time at a place whereby its suitable for kids. the more places of interest for kids, the longer i can stay at that prefecture.
disneyland is a must. disneysea i will skip. the biggest most impressive aquaworld is in okinawa. but its only that as an attraction for my kid which makes it....not really worth going just for it.
sanrioland and skytree something something already added to my list.

Note:
* Will be travelling with a 2 year old child.
* Prefer slow pace trip.
* Both me and my wife have visited Japan previously and have done Hakone Freepass.
* This is just a rough idea of where we will be during our Japan trip in Nov. Nothing is finalized yet except for the flight tickets.


Questions:
1) Is it worth getting Japan Rail Way Pass? If yes, should I go with a 14-day pass and which day should I start using it?
2) From Kyoto, can I take a train direct to Kawaguchiko or I must go through Hakone first?
3) Any other suggestions/recommendations? Should I switch things around a bit to make travel more convenient? Like maybe from Tokyo > Hakone/Kawaguchiko > Kyoto > Tokyo

I just booked my flight impromptuly today without having an idea what to do in Tokyo for 9D8N, but I'd say I'd like cover some places in the cities & do some hikes hopefully to witness autumn foliage during this trip.  Haven't really sure what're the places worth to check out and where should be the right place to stay, don't even mention the transportation. turns out in Japan 3G cannot connect to their network. Minimum 4G. Is that true? both our phones are only 3G phones. Quite old already.
