Cathay Dragon have never been a "budget" airline. Before Cathay bought them, they are actually a better airline with better food which I really like. Since its been bought over, they serve as a regional arm of CX. I havent taken them for since it was bought over, so its really sad to hear about their service.

Ah... since my cousins all tell me it's "budget airline", I really thought so! I agree their food is pretty good so no complain on that. They even serve Häagen-Dazs.

Unfortunately their older, lower res and smaller screen for inflight entertainment also isn't doing them much favour. Even MAS's screen is better hmm.gif ...and they probably knew of the problem with the ventilation as there were no blanket or pillow provided. Likely to know it's hot so no blanket is necessary for passengers.

Thanks for the tip. If you drive to kanazawa from kyoto means you are taking the seaside route rather than the route from Nagoya right? Btw, did you purchase JEP or CEP for your drive? I am wondering if CEP would be good enough as it is cheaper compared to JEP.

If Cathay Dragon screen was old, you can always download Cathay Pacific app called Studio KA.

This app will make ur phone or ipad become thier inflight entertaiment.

If not mistaken this is only for Cathay Dragon, hence the "KA" at the end. Dont think CX have this feature.

We will be travelling to Japan for our first time in July 2019 via the new AirAsia flight path to Fukuoka. We will be there for a week.

Anything to see/do in Fukuoka area and the south of the island in summer, or should we take the Shinkansen to Osaka/Kyoto area?

ya... the rest area called suizu... thanks bro... another wow feeling while driving for first time to kanazawa-shirakawago-takayama, the amount of tunnels in these area god damn a lots... tunnels cut through one mountain after mountain until i lost count how many tunnels i went through. i wonder how long they took to build this expressway.

Finding out what to do in Fukuoka only requires Googling. Come back when you've done your research icon_rolleyes.gif

On return, it was Cathay Pac >> transit >> Cathay Dragon. The trip with CP was good, everything was fine. However Cathay Dragon was a little disappointing. While i understand it's 'budget' airline, there was very poor ventilation. A lot of passengers were fanning themselves in the aircraft and it was really suffocating. One of the cabin crew constantly climbed up to help push the luggage inside for the overhead compartment and her super short skirt is really sweat.gif an uncomfortable sight for families.
eh? But i think Cathay Dragon was good based on my past flight with them. And i don't think they are still the budget airline when they were Dragon Air la..

Their uniform is ok what, all like knee length. If theirs are short, then what is AirAsia? haha
