I've stayed at locations with shared bathrooms before, didn't mind it but gonna have some ladies with me this time around. How safe is it for them?

Should be safe leh. My trips I had wife with me, she never felt it was dangerous or anything when going to the ladies bath alone. Not too different from going onsen ba where guys and girls need to split up anyway.

Nozawa Onsen we stayed at Mominoki, Zao Onsen at Suzunoya, both were pretty much the same style of family run old somewhat run down guesthouse with onsen in the basement and shared toilet upstairs.

The 2 places that I shared nothing is attached. Wanna go brush teeth or pee or poop or clean up after bedroom activities also must go shared bathroom.

If want more privacy of course can, just need to increase budget 🤣

During my study in Japan, i stay in guesthouse(ryokan) near ski resort during winter.
The owner always prepare breakfast and dinner for guests.
From my observation, Japanese tends to bath before dinner.
Therefore we (Malaysian who uncomfortable to see other people's private item) eat dinner first and then later go to bath (onsen).
One hour before closing time is the best time.

Just sharing my experience with you guys.

Some places don't allow for shower in the morning. I dont know why, maybe to save on heating bills.

As a guy who grew up in Malaysia, I'm used to taking a shower at least 2 times a day. That's why when I travel or work in countries with cold climate I'd still shower in the morning. Feels weird if I don't get to have that shower. With having your own bathroom, then you get to control when you can shower.

Japanese normally bath twice or three times per week only.
Onsen mostly on vacation spot, in city they go bath house. 300 to 500 yen per entries. Plus Japanese 6am already go working and back home almost 10pm, no more bath, just used water wash face and hair only.

Why people not just experience the naked ? You don't need to see their private part.

And it is not everyday you can experience it. They won't rape you too. biggrin.gif

Guys, need some advice. Can we use our Malaysian Credit Card to purchase Disneyland Tokyo tickets through the official Disney Tokyo website ? No matter what credit card i use, it seems to say "credit card no authorize".
