Sounds like you had a good trip! Glad to hear that biggrin.gif did you enjoy Nikko? Not sure if you managed to get to Kinugawa and see the suspension bridge?
I think a lot of people gave their feedbacks. If you ask me, as long as your return date (on the day you're due to fly back to Malaysia from Japan) your passpost validity is no less than 6 months, it's still okay.

But if you're worried, might as well go renew it. Passport renewal is fast and efficient these days smile.gif i went to UTC Sentul the last round at around 6.30pm and there was no one. I was served immediately and within 15-20min I got my new passport ady.
Awesome!!!Did you go to any onsen?
What about the gassho-zukuri (triangle roof houses) in Shirakawa Go? It needs to be booked early as well because if it's last minute it's usually full. Your itinerary seems fine to me wink.gif
*
Yes I definitely enjoyed myself in Nikko and Nasu, the momiji were so so beautiful!
I went to Kinugawa but ran out of time to see the bridge. I did however hiked the route around Ryokyo and Nijimintaki although it was raining the whole day. My mum said it was the most beautiful scenery she has ever seen.

Just came back from my trip, already missing Japan!
One thing I will say though is that flying with JAL has been an absolute wonderful experience.
Tried both economy and premium economy cabins and both did not disappoint.

Will be my first choice when flying to Japan again next year, might even try out their business class.

Very expensive fare. Almost no service. 1 hour or 3 hour domestic route flight, only one cup of orange juice [Non refill], no snack at all. No Mineral water at all, Just orange juice, take it or leave it.  sad.gif

During Golden Holiday season, they will arrange international route aircraft to take domestic passenger load. All IFE system in international route aircraft will be shut down. 15 inch LCD infornt of you also can't see anything.  sad.gif  Pocket Magazine are fully Japanese, no single English word.
You will boring to dead on aircraft.......

You cant used any electronic device on aircraft, You cant even watch movies or drama from your handphone......I once tries, due to too boring, Japanese guy sit beside me stare at me like I kill his whole families......
Fukuoka to Sapporo flight, almost 3 hours....It was most boring flight I ever takes....
*
Oh wow that is very appalling indeed shocking.gif
I can't believe that no water is provided for a 3 hour long flight, even if domestic.

I have flown many times domestically in Australia and even a short 1 hour flight between Sydney & Melbourne comes with juice, snacks, a bottle of water and the usual IFE.
Thanks for the heads up!

Been know some time.

It is some windy road uphill and downhill. Just like genting. There is 1 stress of road that even have music rhythm when drive over at a constant speed.

You can stop some view point scenery. It lead to a some resort town famous with onsen.

Next week will go over there once more.
*
I find this very very interesting.
Me and my whole family thought we were hearing things when we left Kawaguchiko back to Tokyo and there was a stretch of road that had something like a farewell music coming out from it.
Bloody impressive!

The place we stayed at in Nikko was pretty strategic as Kanmangafuchi Abyss was just a 10 minute walk along the river.
Really enjoyed the peace and serenity of an early morning stroll without the maddening crowds.

Driving up and down the Irohazaka was a nice experience, so many hairpins smile.gif
Autumns leaves were a bit hit-and-miss at Okunikko though.
Some places were peaking while others had sadly already fallen sad.gif

where is this? I google ryokyo cant find details. Hard for beginner or not? So beautiful
*
It's in the Kinugawa Onsen area, nearer to the northern side.
If taking public transport, there is a train station with the same name (龍王峡) just outside the hiking trail.

The trail itself is not hard but there are some slippery and rocky parts especially if it's raining or rained the night before.
The link below should help smile.gif

It's alright though as the main focus was the mountain tongue.gif

Wow, that is beautiful. When i was there early of this year cant even see much of the Mt Fuji. Mainly covered with clouds.
But i got to see Sakura blooming.

Thanks guys, it was truly beautiful and a surreal experience.
We were at Fuji Five Lakes for 3 days and only this day was clear enough in the morning for a short period.
Very elusive indeed Mt Fuji wink.gif
