Another region you can look at is the Hokuriku region (Kanazawa, Toyama, Takayama). Key attractions - Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, Kurobe Dam, Kenrouken Garden in Kanazawa

Ideally go in May (after Golden Week) so that Alpine Route won't be too crowded. Also, i think Kurobe Dam is not open to access until May also

i have that in my itinerary as well...but it's a bit far from osaka....

Hi, i have a question about Kansai Thru Pass and JR Kansai Hiroshima pass.

- Can the Jr Kansai Hiroshima pass be used on local buses at Himeji and Amanohashidate?
No, Because Himeji and Amanohasidate bus are not operated by JR West

- Can the Kansai Thru pass be used on local buses in Kyoto and Nara?
Yes

I have checked the eligibility for both buses and  Jr Kansai Hiroshima pass said they cover all JR buses, and gave a link in Japanese for the stops included. (I can't read japanese)
JR Kansai Hiroshima Pass only cover JR WEST buses

While for Kansai Thru Pass, it mentions coverage KYOTO BUS and KYOTO KEIHAN BUS, i don't know if that's all the buses that generally we will need to move around Kyoto attractions. Also, Nara buses are not listed, or is it listed under Kyoto Buses?

Third Day

- Onuma Park
- Drop by Lake Toya and Noboribetsu (Trying to get a hotel or stay but too expensive and no rooms available for that size)
- Check in Sapporo Hotel

Fourth Day
- Sapporo to Furano - Biei - Ashikawa Not sure If can cover all (Trying to find a night stay in Furano)

- Niseko if have time
- Skipped Onsen due kids might be bored

-  Return cars and Hang around Sapporo for 2 days as our flight back is on 9.30am and can't return cars before 8am
1. Do i need a car so early on or can we just rely on tram and bus in Hakodate for a tour around the area mentioned?
2.  Any other sightseeing areas would you guys recommend?

Just book air ticket to Nagoya on 16th May to 26th May. My wife is fine not to have the cherry blossom season.

Later on I will need to get 5 days Tourism Pass to Toyama area, which include Alpine route. And need to decide the route and place to stay as I will expect to have multiple "hotel hop" throughout these 10 days.

This time I seriously need to travel light. Last time during traveling in Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo with 4 luggages are really killing me. But of course it makes me loosen my weight down by 2kg in 2 weeks. lol

First time travelling to Japan.

Will be landing in KIX Airport, Osaka at 9.20pm on 25th October by Cathay Airlines.

Will I still be able to take train/bus to Nagata Station, Osaka?

Tried to google the last train from KIX airport, couldn't find a direct answer
