Hi everyone.
Has anyone visited Kumano Nachi Taisha (熊野那智大社) before? Just wondering whether day trip OK, in case a lot to walk or a lot to see nearby. Appreciate your advice. Thank you.

Hi fellow traveler, I suggest you build your own itinerary, you then seek advice from the sifu here. I can provide some to you if is relevant to my experience.

The fun part of travelling is building an itinerary. Don't be lazy when comes to travel. wink.gif

I'm not sure where you got the idea that we go to Japan and only buy green tea KitKat lol. I think it's the opposite: green tea KitKat is mostly already available in KL/SG so if we go Japan we surely buy other flavors.
*
haha, actually i seldom eat kit kat, just share the info

Hi, why dont google them or use website "Japan Guide" look under Tokyo and read one by one and see if the place interest you.
Shortlist them and post here and ask opinion about the place.

Individual preference can differ...

For me i prefer
1. Harajuku -> Shibuya -> Shinjuku for shopping and sightseeing

2. Akibahara is nice for otaku and gadget geeks

3. Asakusa for temples, old street shopping and food.

Does any sifus here know of any good agent that can help with Japanese visa application?

An expat friend's visa was rejected recently, as he didn't submit some documents that aren't compulsory in the checklist. Wrote an appeal letter for reconsideration and tossed in way more supporting documents for future submission, but hoping to get an agent that could assist further

What we like doesn't necessarily to be what you like also. At least give some preference on what you want to see from Tokyo. doh.gif

You can try Apple Agency. They are quite well-known travel agency, probably can help with a fee.

Thank you~! I emailed them immediately and a very nice lady called back. She spoke to their visa department, and unfortunately, they are unable to help this case, as they could only do a guarantor for ppl under their tour package.

Some Ramen shop have vegan options but the trouble is, you need to go and look at their menu unless you can speak in Jap. Easier to find in Tokyo thou.

When i was there in April, most places all sold out. Not to mention airport.
After i realized got empty slots to fill, the tour its all fully booked. Should have decided to go for the tour.

With 2 years old kid but plan all until 12Am.....No way.....10pm Max he will sure fall in sleep due to fatigue.
Unless you going to carry him
If want go Hakone, can replace it on Day 3 because your Day 3 plan are not necessary.

Plus August was so Hot....34 - 37 Celcius. By 12pm - 2pm you will be exhausted due to high heat, Resting at Hotel Room.
This also will ruin your plan, Alot thing need re-adjusted

most if not all of the days are ended quite late. Bare in mind Japanese store close usually at 8pm - 8.30pm so do plan ahead in case you are planning to go shopping.

Your Day 4 is too pack. By the time you finished Harajuku, either your kids or you will fell tired. Skip Shinjuku if you are not keen to shop. You can squueze in Hakone day trip if you think you can move all day 5 itinerary to day 1 to 3 night. But again, with kids are difficult.
