So you should go earlier rather than later in October if seeing autumn colours is your main goal.

QUOTE(tohff7 @ Mar 31 2018, 05:46 PM) Just when i’m ok to purchase full fare, the JR ppl decided to throw a curveball again. haha! too bad Now they are doing advanced sales ticket from 2-6pm a day before for 15-16 April. Now I’m worried that it could get sold out (or very late departure time) for same-day sales at 5am inb4, went for a walk yesterday, sakura |

Anyone here been to Sapporo, Hokkaido?
If one were to spend moderately (no premium restaurant foods) without some snacks as souvenir, is RM1.5-2k enough for 6 day's budget? All included (transportation, daily meal and so on) except hotel (bought it with AA Go). |

QUOTE(vondeland @ Apr 1 2018, 12:19 PM) Thanks for confirming. I'm going on Oct 24 it's Wednesday, I guess should be less crowd right? Do you think it's worth to stay one night near Fuji then another night Hakone OR both night at Hakone? Definitely one night in Fuji. You don't want to miss Mount Fuji during sunrise. It's also your best chance since there will be less fog in early morning |

QUOTE(Quang1819 @ Apr 1 2018, 10:25 PM) I heard public transportation ain't cheap there. Is renting car better than taking public transport (even though cost might be slightly higher)? if you are going during winter...and you have no experience driving in the snow...better don’t parking ain’t cheap too unless you are sharing the ride with 3 other ppl |

QUOTE(Quang1819 @ Apr 1 2018, 11:40 PM) Btw, anyone been there, please give some feedback on the budget Go do your own basic research first lar, you want to free and easy and don't want to pay tour guide then expect us to craft itinerary for you for free?We don't know you at all, how do we know what you like or dislike? Example I think Otaru canal is most overrated crap in Hokkaido ever, but a lot of people would disagree. So is it worth visiting or not worth visiting? Nah some links to get started. Hokkaido guide https://www.japan-guide.com/list/e1101.html Japan travel costs https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2410.html For budget, I did a 3d Tokyo 9d Hokkaido trip a while ago and it was all-in around rm30k for 2pax. http://look-see-eat.blogspot.sg/2015/11/ho...rket-ramen.html This post has been edited by deodorant: Apr 2 2018, 12:44 PM |

A simple question. Can Himeji and Amanohashidate be covered in the same day?
I'm trying to fit it in the Kansai-Hiroshima pass and they appeared to be connected by railway. I just wanted to know if it's feasible to have them in the same day. Thanks. |

QUOTE(Chaud @ Apr 2 2018, 11:26 AM) you just need to check the travel time needed from point A to Himeji, then to Amanohashidate. Then you will get your answer I did, and the results of Hyperdia does not match the map lines shown in the train pass map. Also, actual time time coverage is approximately half day for each after research but it may differ in actual travel. Hence the question. if its a simple question then pls do your own homework first If you don't know the answer, you can always just ignore the question like everyone else, rather than trying to put yourself up on a higher pedestal and criticize others. MeToo kid how old? Day2 do so much gardens, kid might get bored (depending on age). Day6 if a full day in odaiba ... some might say it's overkill, but I think it's ok - can go megaweb, the amusement parks, ride ferris wheel, relax in oedo onsen, Fuji tv, fill up the rest of the time with a little window shopping.

QUOTE(midnightsunray @ Mar 31 2018, 02:21 PM) Hey guys! I would suggest a little bit earlier, at least 6;30AM to leave your Airbnb. I used to take AccessNarita and it takes about an hour. Normally early in the morning there will be a long queue though I think there are buses every 15minutes. You can also booked via internet but its all in Japanese.I'm heading to Tokyo on Monday. My return flight is about 10AM. The Airbnb I'm staying is at Shinjuku. I'm planning to take the train to Tokyo Station then board Access Narita bus to Narita Airport. Based on your experience, what time is best to leave the Airbnb to the train station? How long does it take from Tokyo Station to Narita airport using Access Narita bus? |
