Hi.
Right now I am an owner of Korg LP-380 which I bought for my 7 year old daughter when she first enrolled into lessons.
I am also an adult beginner in piano(35 years old lady who rekindled childhood dream of playing a piano but whose family couldn’t afford expensive hobby for their kids years ago).
Now as (my daughter) and I are progressing, I am saving up some money to upgrade our piano.
While I am more of casual learner who wanna plays for fun and sometimes perform at work annual dinner/family gathering, I am not sure which direction my daughter (and his younger brother, later) will be taking. We are planning for ABRSM but I am not sure how serious/advanced they will go.
So I am torn between getting a CVP705/709 Clavinova (at 18-20K) or a real Yamaha U1J Silent (26-30K). I tried both. I agree nothing digital can compare to the acoustic one but I think our family would enjoy stuff we can do with Clavinova (playing in a ‘band’, singing, recording etc). At the same time I don’t want to spend another 30K in a few years in case my children advancing and like her teacher said ‘sooner or later you will have to get an acoustic’ 😭😭😭
If any of you had been in the same shoes please share ur experience and whatnots.
Clavinova vs U1J., Which one to get.
