it is about time for Honda Malaysia to be one of the major player on big bike market. Kawasaki are the first one been doing this and look at where is kawasaki now..they(kawasaki) are considered leader in big bike market in malaysia, Yamaha (hong leong) still test market by Xj6 & MT..heck even Suzuki considered just wake up to globally trend also invest fully with their full range of big bikes offering in Malaysia..if Honda Boon Siew still prefer sleep on their EX5..let it be..

best of the pick Kwak Z650/Ninja 650 ..no brainer pick or Suzuki SV650 also imported Japan CBU with ABS..

Honda..."power of dream" only smile.gif...keep on recycle the CB500 range in malaysia..now is 2018 around the corner..instead of introduce latest model & tech...again ..recycle the CB500 series..

Honda is just like sugar cane scenario..
u see ppl see sugar cane drink..place the whole stack of sugar cane into the sqeezer machine, after one around go thru the squezer machine..it go thru 2nd & 3rd round..if that is not enough, the whole dry sugar cane will dipped into the water and squeeze again to extract whatever juice ..that is HONDA

I was considering the CBR500F, almost want to put my down payment for it already until I realize it has no ABS and no gear indicator..ABS option touching RM 35k, very very close to Kawasaki Ninja 650 zone, just additional 2k.  rclxub.gif

The CB500 range are lack in many things.
1.single disk brake compare to double disk front back offered by all competitors
2.just enough engine Cc(500) but not good enough to beat the nearest competitor. This capacity is like half baked job
3.normal type of swing arm(square boxy design) this look like belong to the 80s design.if consumer spend this much of money, ppl expect something different. Even Kwak notice that with the ER6N to Z650 to versys
4.no gear indicator
5.the rest u figure it out...😀

Clearly CB500 range are not targeting bike enthusiast...it more target to bike commuter who don't bother the above mentioned. But if u are bike commuter, you got plenty of choice to give you a good run for the money beside CB500 range..

As usual Malaysia is always slow when come to new product launching be it Cars or Motorcycles. btw, the CB650R Neo look promising. The design & spec are way better than the existing CB650f. IMHO The design also much better than CB1000r Neo...especially the CB1000R from mid section to rear section look a bit odd..front end with round headlight look nice, but mid to rear look wrong proportion..CB650R neo look perfect front to back.

what bout the cb250r? u think it look nice?

CB250r look slightly better than cb1000r. (slightly only)
Not to say CB1000r is ugly or what...as it also one of my favourite especially the front end look..but the front end just dont gel with the rear. maybe because of the huge exhaust and the shape of the rear seat. and the plate hanger, omg, it so overdoit by everyone from ducati, benelli,mt 09,MV Agusta brutale..

No other than Triumph/Guzy mastered the Street Retro bikes...

Kawa did come close though.. with their JDM model ZXR, Z900RS.... W800...

Then suzuki came with the new Katana....

But from Honda.. unless referring to the Monkey bike and the C125 Moped ... all is out..

But Honda CB1100RS design nail it. it look authentic & beautiful. the latest CBR1000 look meh.

really ahh.. i fall in love with the cb250r cos of the classic plus modern looks. it will look nice for a small person like me. i saw a youtuber from thailand who is small too, the bike looks perfect on him

Actually for small body size person, it is easiest to shop for bikes. and any small body person will fit and look good on any bikes. the only possible downside is both feet may not touch the ground. if the person are tall & big, it will look like a gargantuan(giant) try to ride a bike and to certain extend, make the big bike look small. imho,tall/big size body are more suitable to ride BMW GS or KTM 1290 adventure or 1200 multistrada or something like that.

try get the tall body/big size person sit & ride on MT07 or Z650, it almost look comedian..
