Nowadays discounts are getting less unlike the last few years when Rakuten, Gemfive and Lazada were competing for buyers. Those days u can get bargains at 30 to 50% discounts for items like aircons, laptops, smartphones, HDD etc.
Good offers are hard to come by in 2017 as most discounts have max. amount and mostly 10 t0 20% discount. But yet more n more buyers are coming online and deliveries are often delayed. There is no more fun in buying online because of d frustration waiting for your deliveries.
Economy not good , so all the best deal and voucher getting less , but this year round , more and more user recognize on online buying through commercial and alibaba and etc.That is the reason you get more and more buyer .
Rakuten and Gemfive is actually out of luck because they are 3 years earlier in the business.If they have a good planing and able to target the right time , last year and this year is the best.Take example , if they would hold on the discount+voucher and not to distribute to user that much.Save some bullet and push all to this year , pretty sure volume of user shifting to gemfive and rakuten will be higher than lazada.
Who doesn't want low price high discount on top adding on voucher.
Just their luck runs out where less user know about online buying which it only hot in trend this year.
If someone able to pump up some $ for their business , surely they'll come back alive and even delivery better performance than before.
Now , every buyer in their mind set , save as much as possible in item in large quantity. Even 10% is a lot when comes to buying 20 pic of petol card or 10 tins of milo or baby milk.GST and etc topup really save like 1k
Delivery delay is happen on every country on online buying.Nothing can help especially malaysia.This is the first time every poslaju was pack with thousand of items eveyday on every branch and need to delivery on time adding up not enough staff for delivery.
So , this is the first experience for all courier company to improve and understand how to handle this situation like 11.11 12.12.
In order to fix as a temp solution , all courier company need to cooperate with those online B2b like laz to set a time for delivery.
Not going in details , but if there is an option for time setting for delivery base with computer schedule optimization , it's possible.
Like , I want my Item to delivery at certain date and time.Eg : 26 Dec order , wanted the courier to delivery at 2 or Jan since went out for holiday or Eg: Please delivery after 7pm when I reach home.It's not like every office allow staff to delivery to them at office.Some company even have rules on staff not to delivery on personal goods.
Updates on delivery much be precise which each courier service needed to add in a scan code from time to time.
1. Buyer updates to user Item was pick up by laz address courier company
2. Laz update item was pickup by which courier company ( update though the end of process shipped )
3. Courier company update item was in t heir hub
4. Updates on Item was going to send out to specific hub though bar scan
5. Updates on Item arrived at the hub with hub center phone number
6. Updates on Item was going to get delivery at date/time with the delivery man phone number
7. 1-2 hours before delivery at door step , make an sms by the delivery man automatically by computer according to the route.( experience call where was made at doorstep where I just went out a min ago , shouldn't they call 15 min earlier for buyer to prepare to receive the item ? )
If the date/time on delivery was not satisfied or where you need it un a urgent , courier company can even made a extra attempt of delivery at certain time maybe 10pm with extra charge when item delivery.Pay by coin RM0.50 extra ?
