anybody facing issues with IphoneX refuses to connect to wifi?
my iphoneX is stuck on 4g even though there's a strong home wifi signal. It just refuse to connect to wifi. The saved wifi password is missing when I try to force iphone to connect by manually selecting the SSID in the wifi settings. This is driving me nuts. |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Dec 29 2017, 11:38 AM) Best to charge it before it falls to down to less than 20% left to preserve the lithium ion battery life The Wi-Fi strength on iPhone X is worse than my old but trusty iphone6.Perform a network reset and you will be good to go. Call me paranoid or what, I do feel the intel modem is just meh! The gps signal in the car is also weak. Or it’s me? 😑 |

QUOTE(dikae @ Dec 29 2017, 04:29 PM) Same here tbh To be honest, I love everything about this phone, except the connectivity problems that’s plaguing me. Maybe it’s a 🍋 unit as you said. |

QUOTE(legalaid @ Dec 30 2017, 10:43 AM) the diagnosis will take ard 10 mins. then wonder what they do next as they will take 3 working days before deciding whether to send to the HQ which apple store you send it for diagnostics?my worry is also whether the HQ factory is properly trained or not since its relatively new here. |

QUOTE(vez @ Dec 30 2017, 06:35 PM) wonder if we can send ipx to change battery next year... Have the same ideahttps://www.lowyat.net/2017/151442/apple-ap...ry-replacement/ But iphoneX is IP67 rated, any repair will compromise the waterproof. So probably not worth it, unless apple replaces the seals too...🤔 |

QUOTE(dikae @ Dec 31 2017, 11:29 AM) I've been using this on stainless steel scratches since decades ago...u can get it from diy shops for around rm15-20+...and don't use any removal if yours is space grey, only works on silver units Yeah I tried this on grey anodized watch band before, the color came off even with slightest pressure.[attachmentid=9470817] Not recommended for space grey. |

QUOTE(Uchiha_Itachi1991 @ Jan 2 2018, 09:49 PM) the upcoming ios update will have battery health check for user to monitor their battery conditions... Knowing apple, the new iOS update is just about a warning that “it is a time to get your battery replaced or suffer from speed throttling” from apple. Not really a battery health checker. |

QUOTE(attw @ Jan 25 2018, 09:23 PM) The clarified rumor is the iPhone X may be discontinued when the next iPhone is released, which is not abnormal. Apple usually cuts the price of a previous gen iPhone when a new one launches, but if they choose to discontinue it instead so be it. Every other phone manufacturer does it as well. Tbh, I don’t understand the fuss.Fact is Apple sold close to 30 million units of iPhone X in Q4 last year. So contrary to your claims, some people do like the form factor. Close to 30 million of them. The iPhone X has flaws and is overpriced, no doubt. But as buyers, the money is in our hands and we get to choose whether to buy or not. Since the first gen iPhone, Apple has been discontinuing the previous year models when new one launched on yearly cycle. Haters gonna hate. I don’t see how this is a news. If apple discontinued iPhone X today, then that’s a news. |

QUOTE(Millennium Falcon 888 @ Jan 26 2018, 04:57 PM) Actually what is this AOD all about? Seems like an interesting feature on the new Samsung phones but will it also be introduced to iOS soon? it will not kill your battery, but it will kill your screenAnd from this image I found on Google Search, it lets the clock and date be permanently shown on the screen when the phone is on standby... But won't this drain the battery? ![]() |
