Getting my X later today. Things I should look at? Should I stay with stock iOS or update to the latest one?

Basically test the phone first smile.gif See if any scratches. As for iOS, do more research, I see current latest iOS is still buggy, suggest to stay with stock iOS.

Which iOS did you guys receive it with? I'm not someone who's usually fond about updating. Some people likes to update everytime a new iOS comes out, but I usually use an old iOS if I find it super stable so I don't really care about new iOS.

My 7 Plus is still on 10.3.3, although security breach is worrying.

How many of you guys here use the Messaging app on your iPhone? Seems like unlike Americans, most of us are WhatsApp and WeChat users, which means we miss out on that "interactive emoji" thingy, which I personally find unique but kinda useless for now... tongue.gif

But if it's available on WhatsApp or WeChat, then this will give a whole new dimension to how we can send such messages (even if these emojis cannot be seen on Android, or can they?)! biggrin.gif

Well to be honest, 90% of Americans use iPhones. Only those tech youtubers use high end Android lol. Rates are growing in our country but lots of people still use Android here. So we're accustomed to Whatsapp instead coz it's easier to reach out. Maybe use iMessage to 1-2 people, gf etc, but in general (and in gaming tone) "Whatsepppp number onee"...

Just stick with whatever OS the phone comes with. If it’s stable, so be it. Although, the auto update reminder can be quite annoying.

Mine already comes with 11.2.1. Let's see how it goes.

The first unit I opened had a bit of a glue residue sticking out from the screen. Told the lady at Celcom about it and she gave me a different unit. Worried about the water resistant sealent, glad she was easy to deal with.

The new unit is sealed as well?

Yea I saw the glue when she told me to check the phone. Told her there's glue coming out, she called the HQ and replaced the unit.

Any improvements on 11.2.2 if I come from 11.2.1?

i didnt notice 11.2.3 & 4 and suddenly jump to 11.2.5?
*
Yeap it was reserved for emergency security update. 11.2.5 is more significant than those emergency updates.

Mine is still on 11.2.1, the iOS that came with the phone. Battery life is horrible as I said before.

Will get a powerbank with QC 3.0 + a usb-c to lightning cable soon. Any recommendations?
