Actually if you charge to full and unplug before sleep, next morning u should still get 100%...
ALot of people debated that it stop charging after full so won’t shorten battery’s lifespan, but I’m still conservative and unplug after full before bed...
*
I dont for sure. Your battery gets charged to 100%, charging stops. But when battery level falls to 97%, charging resumes. Rinse and repeat. What do u think happens to the battery?

QUOTE(attw @ Jan 6 2018, 09:07 PM)
Nvm, got promotion. Change battery at RM129 in December biggrin.gif
*
You have a good point there. laugh.gif

Thought when full, iPhone will automatically cut off the power?
*
Yes, but when battery level drops it will charge again.

Bad habit from Android days. Don't really bother anyway, I'm not so OCD.

In fact, I ran the battery life app on my 2 year old work ip6, which I've abused like hell - charged multiple times a day, left on ipad charger overnight since day 1, dropped a few times, left screen on for 2 hours plus to download my whole 30GB spotify collection after factory reset etc..

My battery is still 99%, reportedly.

I dont trust the app. Manually close it and reopen and u will get different readings.

QUOTE(MasBoleh! @ Jan 6 2018, 09:29 PM)
Do you guys actually put SP at the rear of the iPhone X?
*
I actually have a cheapo plastic sp for the back. My jet black ip7+ had micro scratches at the back even though it was in the case all of the time.

Jet black was scratch magnet lol mine also got scratches but just a few here and there, regretted getting the jet black coz I would normally use the phone naked...but finally I still use my wife’s matte black naked biggrin.gif
*
But it was the best colour for the Iphone 7+. I hope they come out with the same colour for the coming Iphone X plus.

All the draining battery possibilitis have been disabled ie background refresh app/ Bluetooth etc...it says Instagram draws 38% but Im almost sure I’ve killed off the app before that...and this only happen about once or twice a week, the last time it happened was 10 days ago...

Worse is, after 2 restarts, my batt seems to still drain significantly now....from morning when I got up at 94% till now I’ve only use WhatsApp for 10 mins max accumulative ...and it’s already 83% now...so 10 mins of WhatsApp take up 11% which is definitely not normal...
*
You shouldn't be over paranoid of the battery usage on your phone. Battery drains once in a while are quite common. There are many background processes running in the background which could range from data logging to diagnostic reviews being harvested by Apple or App developers. Just perform a soft reset and usually the battery drain goes away.

Maybe u r right...but this battery issue kinda put me into trouble before where I did not rectify it early and battery went to 0% around 2pm doh.gif and after 2 restarts it's still draining more than usual but at least not as bad as this morning..I'm monitoring further ..
*
Not normal reset. Soft reset.

For the X,
Power off normally. When "slide to power off" appears, release buttons. Allow several seconds for the device to power off. With the device powered off, press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears then release.

Yeah, USD at 3.98 today. Wonder how much more it'll need to strengthen before we get a better price smile.gif
*
I would say really soon. Apparently Apple reduced the production of the X because it didnt meet the sales targetted earlier. With the strengtening of the Ringgit or rather the deperication of the USD, I would say Apple would need to readjust its prices here in Malaysia. Yo can actually get the X now at a much lower price than RRP especially if you buy it off sellers on lyn marketplace. I got a 256GB for a friend at a very good price last 2 weeks ago. laugh.gif

You mean a used one right? Yeah, I think I saw a 256GB one go for as low as 5k in there. A 64GB for about 4.2-4.3K might get my attention. Possible? laugh.gif

Anyways, am in no hurry. I have another trip in Singapore in March. We'll see smile.gif
*
Nope. Sealed box set at slightly more than Rm5k. Maxis set. There was even Celcom Ezyphone sets going for Rm4750 but that I dont dare to buy. sweat.gif

TBH, my heart also sank when I saw the price came down like that. sad.gif

by the time my IPX plus comes in, hope Apple dont reduce the battery percentage.  dry.gif
*
Apple doesnt really reduce the battery on our existing phones, but they underclock the cpu reducing the performance of the phone so that it wouldnt consume so much power. That is according to Apple.

Anyway, since the IPX Plus going to be a bigger phone, Apple should at least be giving the same battery like the ones on the 7+ or 8+ or 2900 mah and above.

they should follow like Asus battery.
given the price is high & alot people still support,, invest more in batt lah...apple ohh apple...
*
Well all manufacturers (not only Apple) will claim their latest chipsets are more power efficient and faster compared to their previous chipset and hence the new phone will require lesser capacity batteries. But tbh, I dont feel my current X's battery life can beat my previous 7+ battery life and usage though Apple claims so. The theory is just simple, the Iphone 7+ has a battery with a capacity of 2900Mah and the X has only a 2716 Mah battery. Its almost a 200 mah in capacity difference. So, no matter how efficient the X is, I seriously dont think it will beat the Iphone 7+ in terms of battery life.

Wondering if 8 Plus will have better battery life compared to 7+ and X? Or 7+ is over 8+ and the X. Hmm

No idea. Never tried the 8+ before.

Try turning off PUSH for your mail and select FETCH mail manually. Try if it solves your battery drain issue.
