There are a lot of rumors now that Apple is going to cancel Iphone X due to a less demand and very poor sales in China. Im happy to hear that since im also had switched to Android due to Iphone X. On Youtube you can see more complaint than praise of the Iphone X design. People just dont like the form factor and the loss of touch ID. RIP Iphone X

The clarified rumor is the iPhone X may be discontinued when the next iPhone is released, which is not abnormal. Apple usually cuts the price of a previous gen iPhone when a new one launches, but if they choose to discontinue it instead so be it. Every other phone manufacturer does it as well.

Fact is Apple sold close to 30 million units of iPhone X in Q4 last year. So contrary to your claims, some people do like the form factor. Close to 30 million of them.

The iPhone X has flaws and is overpriced, no doubt. But as buyers, the money is in our hands and we get to choose whether to buy or not.

Tbh, I don’t understand the fuss.
Since the first gen iPhone, Apple has been discontinuing the previous year models when new one launched on yearly cycle.
Haters gonna hate.

I don’t see how this is a news.
If apple discontinued iPhone X today, then that’s a news.

have you tried turning the noise cancelling feature? General -> Accessibility -> Phone Noise Cancellation -> Off. And are you by any chance using a wallet case or applied a camera screen protector? You may be blocking the mic located near the camera

Maybe we'll get AOD on iOS 12.

It would be a great feature to have on ios. Or at least AOD on raise to wake to get a glimpse of what messages/ notifications that came in.

Sounds like a dream feature. Having said that, if AOD is released, then faster battery drainage? 🙊

I’m so used to having a blank screen though, so much so even when I was using Sammy’s latest and greatest I turned off AOD coz it was creeping me out, ha ha....

I know AOD in Samsung is quite bad in battery drainage right? Hopefully when it made available in iOS, the battery still steady tongue.gif

LOL
like all android stuff, mostly copy from apple and even that, half-baked.
*
Yea, that's why I am a proud iPhone user tongue.gif Hopefully Apple will keep on improving year by year instead of giving us the same design, and powerful chip/better camera only. Hopefully more features too smile.gif

apple invests a lot in r&d to make sure any new design/feature really is useful, proper and easy-to-use.
even if things are not so smooth after the gay ceo took over, still miles ahead of the competition.
*
Yea, but still we are still Apple fans smile.gif As of now, I don't see any android phone in my interest.

Android phone? They have excellent features and are super-affordable for the masses but don't seem to have good durability, I must say... My boss previously used a Samsung Note and switched to the Huawei high-end model around mid-2017, and for both phones, he complained a few times about flickering screen, frequent dropped calls, phone going hang, etc. after around 6 months to a year of usage... And not forgetting the rather user-unfriendly interface, which somehow uses just too many icons to denote functions - very confusing for an Apple user (ours is mainly text based) to help an Android person with some stuff! sad.gif

As of now, the iPhone X is what I'm using and I've also gotten very familiar with that no-Home-button interface (the elongated screen is amazing too)... In around an hour after buying the phone, haha! laugh.gif

Yea, exactly the same thoughts. iPhone is very smooth. Some of my friends switching from Samsung to iPhone, and said. Once you are Apple, you never go back. Which I am agreeing as of now. Hopefully Apple will be the top since old days tongue.gif

Actually pretty much everything from Apple is smooth... Whether its the MacBook (which I've used since 2011 and touch wood, hasn't given me major problems), the iPad (an excellent substitute for the notebook, if I'm meeting clients outside of an office environment - presentations can be delivered perfectly using Keynote), or the iPhone (need I say more laugh.gif), all their products are of true quality in terms of hardware and software, hence the high price we have paid for our goodies... rclxms.gif

So if we use this analogy, Samsung, Huawei, LG, Lenovo, and the other Android players are the equivalent of Toyota, Honda, Kia, and Hyundai (maybe even the "new" Proton), whilst Apple will fall into Mercedes, BMW, or Porsche territory... thumbup.gif

i didnt notice 11.2.3 & 4 and suddenly jump to 11.2.5?
*
Yeap it was reserved for emergency security update. 11.2.5 is more significant than those emergency updates.

Mine is still on 11.2.1, the iOS that came with the phone. Battery life is horrible as I said before.

Will get a powerbank with QC 3.0 + a usb-c to lightning cable soon. Any recommendations?

Since you are on IOS 11.2.1, why don't you upgrade it to 11.2.5? Hoping that it will rectify the battery life issue.

What are the chances of Apple Malaysia revising their official pricing with our MYR appreciating against USD (3.8 last I checked)

Currently their multiplier is around 4.7-4.8 (after factoring the 7-8%tax in the US)
