Should be ok I guess. The Synaptic sensor is optical almost like a camera.

Interesting.. So gen1 sensor is fussy with sp above certain thickness? Maybe Apple will wait until gen 2 or 3 before even considering to implement it tongue.gif

I hope Apple totally abandons Touch ID and focuses on improving Face ID. Make it faster and secure plus work on reducing the notch size.

Something different wink.gif

Thats why I already dumped Iphone after 2 years of being loyal user and switch to Android. I just hate face ID which is slow

TBH after having face ID since the launch of the IPhone X, I am so used to it already that I dont want to go back to touch ID. Face ID is so much faster, efficient. You will be looking at the screen anyway so its a great way to unlock your phone. If on android, you should try the face id on Oneplus 5T. It is lightning fast, faster than the face id on the Iphone X and without the need to swipe up to unlock.

For Face ID, I would prefer the Face ID on the OP5T anytime over the Iphone X as per stated reasons.

I want to try yours. When listing for sale?

Haha, jk.

I think there's probably a reason why Apple makes people swipe to unlock with Face ID. Possibly to prevent you from unlocking the phone if you just want to glance at your notifications?

When the OnePlus 6 comes out. tongue.gif

I could agree to that as IOS doesnt come with AOD, so you have to wake your phone to view messages or notifications.

Maybe we'll get AOD on iOS 12.
