And not doing as expected in China market with the notch being mentioned as one reason.

So rumor is maybe the 2nd gen or re-design no notch. That would not please many current owners I figure.

I dont know man. With this kind of pricing, was Apple expecting sales would be as good as the yesteryears. Its selling alright, but not at the sales volume expecting of it. Not everyone could afford it.

Many high end Android these days easily match if not better than ip in terms of lag. Such as S8+, Mate10, OP5T etc. You cannot compare with cheaper mid end Android

I was like you, an iPhone 7 user too... But because I accidentally smashed my previous phone and it couldn't be turned on anymore, I had to get a replacement and what better new model than the X?

The camera is darn amazing and photo clarity beats any iPhone I've used previously, like this gem I took earlier today!

Anybody here brave enough to NOT use any screen protector/casing on their phone?

Yesterday at a clinic I saw a lady using her iPhone X without any case or screen protector. So daring! She even let her little daughter play around and watch videos on it.

Finally received and unboxed my phone last night. That awesome feeling unboxing something new after so long. My first impression: the chrome bezel gets smudged too easily with fingerprints. I don't dare to use it naked and kept it back in the box. Need to find a good screen protector and casing during lunch hour.

TBH after having face ID since the launch of the IPhone X, I am so used to it already that I dont want to go back to touch ID. Face ID is so much faster, efficient. You will be looking at the screen anyway so its a great way to unlock your phone. If on android, you should try the face id on Oneplus 5T. It is lightning fast, faster than the face id on the Iphone X and without the need to swipe up to unlock.

The clarified rumor is the iPhone X may be discontinued when the next iPhone is released, which is not abnormal. Apple usually cuts the price of a previous gen iPhone when a new one launches, but if they choose to discontinue it instead so be it. Every other phone manufacturer does it as well.

Fact is Apple sold close to 30 million units of  iPhone X in Q4 last year. So contrary to your claims, some people do like the form factor. Close to 30 million of them.

The iPhone X has flaws and is overpriced, no doubt. But as buyers, the money is in our hands and we get to choose whether to buy or not.

It would be a great feature to have on ios. Or at least AOD on raise to wake to get a glimpse of what messages/ notifications that came in.

I’m so used to having a blank screen though, so much so even when I was using Sammy’s latest and greatest I turned off AOD coz it was creeping me out, ha ha....
