Wanted to watch Jumanji with Couple seat at GSC and realized two tickets were 41bucks. What happen to 12bucks per ticket? It never hit me that ticket prices are this high although i've been visiting them constantly.

I rather buy aa 60" 4k TV and dload using torrent la. I hope cinema GG.

Tgv is cheaper provided u register with their membership bcos u can get points. Later u can use that points to buy movie tickets.

Every year tgv belanja me free movie for 2 during my birthday. Renew also got free movie for 2. Best part u can redeem for new movie; unlike gsc if give free movie voucher only valid for old * movie.

If u regularly watch movie at tgv, they renew ur membership for free. I cant event count how many free movies i watched at tgv.

tgv online experience is horrible. their website mmg crappy.

Extra points for a popcorn machine in the corner of the room. Nothing beats the smell of freshly made popcorn while watching a movie on your 200” 4k Sony Rear Projector TV and Bose SoundTouch 650.

Also, how did you soundproof the room? I used egg shell foam to soundproof the room and used a false floor (raised floor) to hide the wiring underneath. I use a heavy red carpet to hide the raised floor and soundproof the floor.

During the 1st and 2nd week of new movie launch, no special rate during Wednesday. Usually ill wait for the 3rd week then only go watch. Cheaper and not pack.

Depends on which cinema, what type of seat, and whether the movie still new? Near my house got 2 TGV cinemas, but both also different rate. Mostly because of that area, one is highly populated and new shopping mall, the other on is old shopping mall with less customers.

Dulu-dulu ticket only RM4.50. But floor sticky and got urine stench. Also wooden seats and got film scratch. The good ol days.

Used to visit Rex Cinema in Petaling Street after school. 4bucks if pakai school uniform. Got rats walking around and smelly seats. hahaha. good old days.

I paid 52 for 2 tickets at Sunway Velocity, still cheaper than 1 Utama which was 62 for 2 tickets.

I wonder why is there a difference since both are TGV.

I noticed that they already increase price from RM 12-13 to RM16.

Last year, the price still RM12-13, but for this year they increase drastically.

At least if you want to watch a movie before 6pm, you can pay using your Maybank Debit/credit card and can get ticket for RM10 each everyday. (but need to queue at maybank lane)

Or u can queue before 12pm to get ticket price from RM9-RM10.

My high school/uni era is 6 bucks lo. Now 11.50...sigh. That's why don't really go to cinemas nowadays.

Choose small shopping mall cinema the ticket price is cheaper compared to Mid Valley, 1U, pyramid, pavilion, klcc and other popular mall.

Some credit cards offer buy-one-free-one. You can check promotion page at cinema websites.

For GSC, the other day I bought 40 ringgit (for 2 people) couple seat at mid valley, after discount 10% i paid RM36 using GSC hong leong bank credit card.

For TGV I got apply TGV member card, every 10 ringgit spent will get 1 point. Lets say the ticket is RM15, you can redeem with 15 points. If you go movie with friends is better, you help them buy tickets, collect point and earn free tickets. You will get two free tickets on your birthday month.

Also, carpeting on wall is redundant. It defeats the purpose of the acoustic foam. You either carpet the wall or place acoustic (eggshell) foam on the walls. Not both.

Either your "contractor" is trying to swindle you for redundant extras or you did the setup yourself.

I am not familiar with the sonos system but this is the first time I heard a private theater room needing two bass modules. But hey, whatever floats your boat. lol.

So, what else do you place in your "awesome" theater room? Any sofas? Or do you use cinema grade seats with tier seatings?

Boys and girls and any combination thereof go there to ramas and raba.
Only problem is the lack of patrons, and ramas and raba is cheaper there compared to a bar.
But bars are also where strangers meet so that is their edge.

Just wanna share.. on Last Wednesday, i bought star wars tiket at summit USJ (THX) (ATMOS) online and the check in date i Select on Saturday, it only cost me rm13.00.. i was like, so cheap consider its a new movie just released...
However, on Saturday my cousin text me and said wanna follow me as well, then i log in and when proceed payment it cost rm16.00 per tiket.... a huge jump i would say if u buy in bulk...

My row on B seats.. my cousin i bought on C Seats...

So next time, i think if u guys wanna cheap ticket, better buy early... use as my example.. can get cheaper..
