apparently people who told you is not aware that there are other good brands around. browse around the forum, you'll see many other brands that you can consider such as

Pentax
Casio
Fuji
Nikon

and i don't think anti-shake will help much on low-light conditions either.

i've use Casio, it's quite nice. i actually like them. the Fuji's f31fd is a popular choice too.

For Rm1600 can get Powershot G7 what ... why no one mention?

G7 price dropped to that level already? wahhhh.

not to forget panasonics as well, their MegaOIS is actually one of the earliest to popularize stabilizer in compact cameras..

Hurm, after long talk wif some friend, he recommends me olympus mju 750.. it only 1299 .. then he say to buy 1 more spare battery and 1GB to 2GB upgrade.

Total include casing and tripod = 1450 ..

is that olympus camera produce nice picture?

now i only trust canon and nikon
never ever buy sony, all the hype, but no value
