If it faulty and in warranty period they will change FOC.

If it faulty and NO longer have warranty they will either renew your contract you get it for free or you pay for it

dlink wbr2300 is definitely more than 2 years old, and the warranty for your router is definitely over unless you just renewed your contract
Yes you can ask TM to replace your router but you will be charged for that

Just buy a 3rd party router of your own, but make sure it's fully compatible with UniFi

if under warranty, can.

but u must first call, lodge a report, what's wrong.

they may ask u to do some quick tests over the phone.

if they decide case is genuine, they will come and check; if technician find faulty, will replace.

if u had recently done upgrade, warranty should be renewed for 1 yr, so it is covered.

this renewed warranty also applies to the dec phone and hypptv stb (besides the BTU which is covered forever).

that's the way i understood it.

If you 'accidentally' used the wrong adapter for the router and it got burnt, you could replace one if still under warranty if you know what I mean brows.gif

Just buy your own router. They will change to the TP-Link AC1200 or DLink DIR850L, both of which is okay but not good..

He's not suggesting D-Link as a whole is not good but rather D-Link had too many product especially in the low to mid end routers that are worse than competitors.

Yes, see below for zher4883 explanation. DLink is okay, but too many vulnerabilities have been found in their low to mid end routers.

Those days, using a modem for streamyx users from dlink may seems superior and if you want more superiority, Aztech modem is the better option. Nowadays, after so many competitors ruling the market, now DLINK lost its magic. Personally i was DLINK fanboy during streamyx era. Not sure why DLINK have bad reputation nowadays with their low end routers vulnerability. I hope DLINK may come with the best product for their low end product purchased by the customers. The awesome thing is, TP-Link now coming up with an affordable router and some of their low end product's firmware were awesome like archer c5 although the small bro of c5, c1200 has the worst firmware of all.

True bro. I still remember those times lol. DLink was the dominant one and the only one.

you will only be entitled to free router replacement when you renew your contract with them and the existing router is faulty or not functioning.

i have read many claim they received free router replacement just by renewing their contract with unifi. myth or fact ? these days people would say anything just to sound smart so you can never be too careful

but you should know that if you ask for a router replacement whilst your existing router is still functioning, they will send their technician over and he will say that your existing router is not faulty. and you will end up paying him rm53 including sst for doing practically nothing.
