I bought it about 2 weeks ago, and just beat the game last night. I've obtained 10 out of the game's 12 achievements. I'm still working on "Seeker" and "Belmont's Revenge".

I love this game. It worth its price.

Pros:
-Full console (Playstation) game at the price of XBLA game
-Classic gameplay, brings back my childood memories
-Enhanced graphic mode (but it's only noticeable on HD TV / monitor)
-5 different endings
-Addition of 12 achievements worth 200 points

Cons:
-Slowdown at the waterfall area
-No widescreen mode
-2 FMV from the Playstation version has been removed to keep the file size small

Great game, always love castlevania games, classics wink.gif However, it gets a little boring towards the end (specially if you have the uber weapon...), but nevertheless, i had fun. You could just download the demo and try, see if this is your kind of game wink.gif

I bought it. Perhaps the best one of its series. The first game to break the 50MB Arcade Limit. biggrin.gif

I'm currently attempting "Belmont Revenge", and plan to do "Seeker" after that.

"Seeker" is plain boring... i had to take picture and compare to the full map side by side to find the mising %...

For "Belmont Revenge"... i spent like 2-3 hours, and after that i saw a video about a dude did it in like 6min yawn.gif

Yeah, it's possible by exploiting the "Item Crash + Holy Water". I'm currently at the Inverted Castle doing "Belmont Revenge". I don't really like Richter since he won't level up, and can't change equipment / relics.

Yeah if anyones having a problem with the map completion i know i had just snap a picture and let us have a look. Belmonts revenge was okay once you figure out how to do the speed run...can complete in like an hour with practice.

From Gamefaqs:

QUOTE
Soul of Bat
From the largest room of the Long Library, take the middle-left door, which leads to a Save Room. This Save Room has two doors, so take the left one. Make your way down and to the left to find the Soul of Bat. The bat's two upgrades, Fire of Bat and Echo of Bat, are found in the Clock Tower and Olrox's Quarters.

EDIT:

IINM, you need to have Mist transformation first to access the place they put the bat transformation, else you can't enter the room.

And you will find annoying
medusa's flying everywhere so dodge them and go to the next room. Then you
will see gears, attack them until they click then hit the other two on the
other side then go to the room at the bottom and get Gold plate, star flail
and steel helm. Then go up and the faerie should say the wall to the right is
funny. So break it.

a quote from gamefaqs. its from the clock tower part.

Just attack the gears (2 gears per room, got 2 rooms side by side), they will "click".

I mean if u using sword, just jump/walk till in front of the gears then whack them.

Yes, it's a sound. When you hit the gears and rotated it at the correct position, it'll make a clicking instead of clanking sound.
