If you want my advice ( which i assume you dont ) , dont got with budget cheap interfaces. i had a 2i2 before along with mBox, m-audio firewire stuff
they are not very good at all. if you are using them with an external preamp then its fine

Im using it for guitar monitoring and not for vocal recording..so the mic preamps arent really of any use for me, however i will be considering the quality of the converters and also latency
