Was requested to provide my Android Box's MAC ADDRESS to a network provider .

Is it safe to do so ?

Considering my Android Box is connected to my Home Router/Wifi , can they hack into my Home Router and access my connected Home Devices , using my Android Box's MAC ADDRESS?

Please advice .

May I know which network provider is that? And do you know the reason why do they want to request the MAC Address of your Android Box from you?

I already declined . But I'm still curious , is it actually safe to provide MAC Address of android box to ANYONE / Public ?

Some websites say hackers can't do much with your MAC Address , but some say may still be able to access your line to hack into your home PCs , etc.. Do you have any idea ?

They can't do much with your MAC address. However there are a lot of cases which people are cloning their MAC address into exactly the same as the another TV Box which has subscription with IPTV services like HaoHD, MYIPTV and etc.
