8 plus is still a brilliant phone. Sometimes i miss touch ID. When the phone is flat on table. I dont need to go like a giraffe to show my face to the phone to read notifications. 

Yup. Upgraded from 8plus to xs max, but the taptic feedback of the touch ID is just amazing. Feels exactly like a physical button but it will not become loosen like a physical button will. No other phone offers this kind of experience
