QUOTE(sayming @ Mar 17 2021, 03:12 PM) Anyone still rocking an iPhone 8 (non plus) in 2021? Hows the performance and battery life holding up? Still as good as day 1 like I bought it back in Dec 2017😌. I have changed the battery once when the capacity dropped to 83%.This post has been edited by un.deux.trois: Mar 26 2021, 12:03 AM |

QUOTE(sayming @ Mar 17 2021, 03:12 PM) Anyone still rocking an iPhone 8 (non plus) in 2021? Hows the performance and battery life holding up? Been using iPhone 8 since March 2018 and the performance still good. However, battery life had degraded significantly due to gaming. Maximum capacity at 82% but i do notice the battery life drop faster compare to the first 2.5 years of usage. It already notified me to have the battery replaced. I do have a lot of apps installed on the iPhone, around 90 apps. On standby, battery does not drop much. |

QUOTE(mickeysew814 @ Mar 21 2021, 04:24 PM) Hi guy, anyone has issue with the home button? The iPhone 7/8/SE 2020 uses solid state home button, meaning that the home button doesn’t move at all.. the home button click feeling is being simulated by the Taptic Engine, if you off the phone, the home button doesn’t click(this is normal)It seems harden and hard to press. After phone restart its okay. After some times, it harden again. Any idea? Does vibration/ haptic feedback works on your phone properly? You can adjust the haptic by going to settings> general> home button This post has been edited by yongtjunkit: Mar 26 2021, 09:39 AM mickeysew814 liked this post

QUOTE(sayming @ Jul 18 2021, 03:33 PM) I have just looked at the battery statistics. SOT is 7 hours 35 minutes and the battery capacity is 90% now. The battery capacity has degraded faster since the end of last year when I started using the fast charging port at my laptop to charge the iPhone.I have never really paid attention to SOT. I always charge my phone whenever I’m near a charger. This post has been edited by un.deux.trois: Jul 18 2021, 04:13 PM |

On 8 plus, my battery health has been on 86% for a very long time. I wonder if it's not showing the correct percentage.

If no gaming and not fully cling onto phone, should be doable.Though as a IP8 user, I kind of regret didn't topped up for IP8+ back then, as the 2GB RAM is starting to show it's limitation already. Otherwise it's still a fantastic device even in year 2021 or beyond. IP8+ has 3GB of RAM. This post has been edited by msacras: Aug 23 2021, 01:29 AM |

It’s okay if your network signal is good and you don’t always use the phone under the sun (aka always on the high brightness) |

Got iOS 15 update recently but i am unsure whether to proceed or not.
My ip8 plus is almost 4 years come this January 2022. Battery life is at 83% now. My phone won’t get slowed down after iOS15? |

Just a quick question before i’m going to replace my battery which is now at 79% batt life:
Does anyone of you experience the new battery DRAINS FASTER than the original battery after you replace it at AASP? Bought it at Apr 2018. Never game on it. Just whatsapp, youtube, safari, normal calls & sms. 2018 to 2022 - 4 years usage. Batt life from 100% to 79%. It’s quite a good run? Or others can still get 80% ish after 4 years of usage?
