basically ehailing driver is even no dignity compare to tradisional taxi : lower fare + worried rider star rating
these 2 weeks i don't know met what kind of person in KV, until rating can drop till 4.7 yesterday, it never happened before even back to the time doing for morning 7-9am where ppl rush for work and grab purposely assign few km away jobs. some said grab did sth in behind as one still earn their incentive. so i guess no need continue hg as it would fall again, go flexi mode, but then no mood again to driver for grab as it still reluctant to let driver rate rider.
i think nowadays riders has been pampered by grab into some upper level of kingyup, i guess also due to recent most jobs are local +africans and less foreign worker (because operation started) where we knew that foreign worker not behave like that as they know life is tough.
hoping Go-Jek come in early, the only heavy weight contender. They wanna go into singapore, but no into malaysia, wonder why?
Definitely.
Anyway, yesterday I ordered a Grabcar from BST Main Entrance heading to MRT Bukit Bintang. Walking to the MRT station would actually be fun, except it isn't when it's 8pm, slightly drizzling and you're tagging along two kids with you.
I sent him a message saying I'm waiting at the main entrance, to which he replied OK. He was ferrying a rider and I don't mind waiting because I understand the condition of the traffic at that time.
After 6-7 minutes of waiting, the driver sent a message saying he has arrived. I waited and waited he was nowhere to be seen. I waited for nearly 5 minutes before I decided to call him. I told him I'm at the main entrance, near Starbucks. He told me he was waiting outside, under the Imbi monorail station. This ticked me off big time. To be fair, he did try to call me but couldn't get through but sending a text was very much possible at that time because that is what I did.
Upon entering his car, that driver told me it was very difficult to go to the near main entrance. What bullshit, the traffic at the main entrance was very smooth because riders jumped in and out of their rides very quickly, like an F1 pit stop. Not only that, the driver also missed the correct junction and what should be a 1.3km ride turned into a 2.4km one. An extra kilometer is not a big deal on any other day for me but it's a different story when it set you back by nearly 15 minutes more.
I was very close to rate this drive 1*, very very close but alas I didn't rate him at all. I don't know why. Maybe because I'm a Grab driver myself, I don't know.
