Even the heat map is a hit of miss even it is a red hot period in color at KLCC to Pavillion . Some said Mid Valley and PJ too. Kandang Kandang lembu fare no surge. Sometimes 50% to 100% like Salmon or Cod Fish fare.

What is so great about going to red hot chilli pepper heat map but fare can be as low as Rm5 minimum fare or getting paid less than RM 20 for 20 KM designation?

Yesterday 750 pm picked up riders at Sunway pyramid which is about 3km which takes 12 minutes as reflected by Waze which showed crunchy peanut jam from Mentari Court. Zero bonus.

Yes..... on AA. This not the first time but multi times on UP to MP.

There are times I got golden bonus but sometimes get nugget bonus where the payout is picked and plucked from thier crappy nostril.

Unless I have to drop riders at the designated shopping hotspot, I would have off my Crappy app to avoid the peanut jam which the bonus boost is inconsistence and lack of transparency.

No accountability at all where there is no response even from the multi red faces feedbacks in the app.

The boost soar high till 3x for and christmaseve and newyeareve . Surge lain kira. if no surge , just get boost. But if got surge, they tolak but still get 3 kali fare.

On red like morning rush, lunch time to balik rumah peanut jam, also got up to 1.9x boost to bus station or airport at designation red hot chilli spot. It show a variety of redness, Mont Kiara and KLCC and PJ.......usually red hot but on sleected mapping area.

There are many drivers who are grabbing to cari makan, makan angin, some do it for fund for extra income , many do it for fun and a few do it to raise charity fund. Ada juga, do it to meet PYT riders where they are likely to be seated beside the driver in thier brand new BMW in just Grab option. Others may have no choice but to drive fast and furious to make ends meets by grabbing 6 pax in thier Proton saga risking saman and damaging car absorbers.

IMHO, cherry picking or not is one driver's meat where it could be another driver cuppa tea or coffee. I choose to cherry pick for my own safety and comfort zone for myself and riders. Each time I go Cheras or Sri Petaling or Shah Alam, I MD back to KL or PJ where I am familiar with the routes and mazes. Sometimes the waze makes you go round and round without reaching the designation or going to dead end zone especially in the gated and guarded location. The worst nightmare is going to a deserted location where you could be robbed and murdered!!!.

If I feel uncomfortable at the sight of my passengers and location , I just cancel. Safety first above all. And certain designation like KLIA especially in peak hours with RM 65 with no Time Boost in sight, I spit the cherry pith to pick up durians at KLCC. That's my cherry picking and spitting stories where I stirred but not shaken by incentives to raise funding to maintain my car and jalan jalan cari makan at my favorite stores from Bak Good Teh to Curry Mee.

E-hailing is a platform for part time lovers who can moonlight for extra income after their office hours. And most bosses would not permit thier staff to do it as it may distract thier actual work or those who sneak the company time to cruising riders around town. And those who dun cherry pick thier route or riders may ended up late for thier work or appointment. Imagine the bosses seeing thier staff with Green Grab logo once the law by JPJ takes effect in June. Especially when thier sales staff quota are not met or coming to work late

Dat's why I really wonder why some got new cars plastered with Grab advert to grab attention and riders. As for full timer, does it makes ringgit and sense to Grab riders

After amortization, interest, depreciation and maintenance of the car used for grabbing riders, my professional akauntan concur that it doesnt make ringgit and sense. Even the taxi fellas can hardly makes a decent living where most of them cannot afford to retire.
Taxi owners after making the final payment would be buying another car as the old car is too expensive to maintain with the wear and tear. and riders would reluctant to ride old cars for long distance. And they do not have EPF saving to retire. I have a friend who was still driving in his late sixties while he has symptoms of stroke. Despite being aware of the risk which could lead to acute stroke, he simply got no choice but to drive on.

Most of all, many would be medically compromised with disease like cardio vascular diseases or joints inflammation due to poor dietary intake, lack of exercise, inadequate rest or even sleep after all the years of driving. Human beings are like the automobiles where it would be cranky after all the long mileage.

IMHO, for those who are young and able to source jobs with thier skills should not do ehailing full time as they are losing the most precious element in thier life - TIME & OPPORTUNITY & CAREER.

Unless one is being lay off , stuck with the car repayment and have to cari makan for himself and family, it is to source for income temporary while looking high and low for a career job. if the worker is being retrenched, at least he got some monies compensation but if he given banana by Crap, the driver is peanut jammed.
