Trainers, today we have an incredible piece of news to report. John Hanke, Niantic’s CEO, has shared a flight with Doctor PoGo, a four times Level 40 trainer associated with the Level 40 Verified FB group, but that’s not the only thing Hanke shared! During their flight, Hanke shared a lot about the future of Pokémon GO.

Hanke talked about some features that are currently in the works, but shared no time table:

Generation 4 and a new PvP system are being worked on, with no release schedule to share or any specific details.
There’s “something” being done about Maps to make it more raid friendly, no specific details shared there
Level Cap WILL be increased, to which level is also unknown as of the time of this publication
But that’s not the end of it, as in their conversation, Hanke confirmed the following:

It’s time to test the strength of your Pokémon during a special battle event! Fighting-type Pokémon, such as Machop and Makuhita, will appear more frequently in the wild starting May 1 at 1:00 p.m. PDT.

But what’s a battle celebration without some competition at your nearby Gym? Until May 14, you’ll receive 2× bonus XP for Gym Battles and Raid Battles. Plus, Raid Battles will also award a guaranteed 3,000 Stardust for participating—and at least one Rare Candy if you win!

Several actions at Gyms will yield bonuses, including a 2× Badge multiplier, so you can receive even more benefits at a Gym you visit frequently. Just stopping by? Spinning the Photo Disc at Gyms will also yield more items!

On May 1st, Niantic announced a new event would be taking place from May 1st at 1:00 PM PST to May 14th. During the event, Fighting-type Pokemon will be more easily found in the wild. Also, there will be special bonuses for raiding and gym battling:

2x bonus XP for Gym Battles and Raid Battles
Raids will always give 3,000 Stardust and at least 1 Rare Candy

Badge rewards from Gyms will be doubled

hahaha....the higher the level the more stardust and candies required..and I dont have time to grind those frequently, hence most of my mons are underpowered (CP)...sigh!

Now at level 36, each mons takes close to 200 candies and 200k stardust to powerup...susah benar nak cari...

hence i want to get those stardust first and not the XP

But if you think of it, even a new gym... it takes 15 raids to get gold under this *double bxp event.
Hopefully can get 3-5 new gold gyms? 

Err... that's the whole purpose of levelling up. Prioritise those to power up and you will be fine.
Each double stardust event just set a target - 1 mil to 2 mil stardust.
i know 1 mil isnt a lot; can max out 4 raid legendaries to level 40 only with 100k dust balance.

Imagine with level cap increase, even after level 40 still have to chase.....
If they increase pokemon level with level cap increase - your mons will be even less powerful.
Imagine a 3.5k blissey in gyms... your best tyra @ level 37.5 also 3.5k bordering 3.6k... apa macam?
If they make certain min TL requirements after 40, and you dont level up, you will be further left behind.
so... if you have time, grind and level up when u can.

Last night spent 2 hours "levelling" a gym... even with double bxp its still slow like hell.

The kaki's there golden razz at 2/3 health.... 2 hours also kenot take down.

On the level part.... I don't think niantic is going to alienate lower level/new players lor, probably gonna be another gym system rework or something since the rumors also say pvp coming.
