Trainers, today we have an incredible piece of news to report. John Hanke, Niantic’s CEO, has shared a flight with Doctor PoGo, a four times Level 40 trainer associated with the Level 40 Verified FB group, but that’s not the only thing Hanke shared! During their flight, Hanke shared a lot about the future of Pokémon GO.

Hanke talked about some features that are currently in the works, but shared no time table:

Generation 4 and a new PvP system are being worked on, with no release schedule to share or any specific details.
There’s “something” being done about Maps to make it more raid friendly, no specific details shared there
Level Cap WILL be increased, to which level is also unknown as of the time of this publication
But that’s not the end of it, as in their conversation, Hanke confirmed the following:

Gyms need 30000 badge xp to reach gold.

Fight a pokemon in gym . 3000CP blissey give you 30 badge XP. Now become 60 badge XP.
Put a mon in gym. 100 badge XP now 200 badge XP.
Fight a raid in that gym 1000 badge XP become 2000 badge XP.
Feed berry i think is 10 badge XP now 20 badge XP .

Easier to reach gold gym status.

But if you think of it, even a new gym... it takes 15 raids to get gold under this *double bxp event.
Hopefully can get 3-5 new gold gyms? 

Err... that's the whole purpose of levelling up. Prioritise those to power up and you will be fine.
Each double stardust event just set a target - 1 mil to 2 mil stardust.
i know 1 mil isnt a lot; can max out 4 raid legendaries to level 40 only with 100k dust balance.

Imagine with level cap increase, even after level 40 still have to chase.....
If they increase pokemon level with level cap increase - your mons will be even less powerful.
Imagine a 3.5k blissey in gyms... your best tyra @ level 37.5 also 3.5k bordering 3.6k... apa macam?
If they make certain min TL requirements after 40, and you dont level up, you will be further left behind.
so... if you have time, grind and level up when u can.

if pvp is intro'd, hope they reactivate the training badge...haven't reached gold

Unfortunately, the only way to take those players out is using simultaneous attacks - 3 accounts / players. Solo-ing is simply a waste of time.

On alienating lower level players, i tend to agree with you. But just sharing, a friend of mine in Verified 40 told me a lot of the trainers there are petitioning strongly to Niantic to increase level cap and make it meaningful. To "them" there is no difference in a 100 mil xp level 40 vs 50 mil xp level 40 and a 20 mil xp level 40 (babies in their eyes). In a way, what they said did make sense as the hardcore players are breaking away (xp wise and max out cp wise) so they are looking for something more challenging and that can differentiate between players with significantly more xp.

Niantic made a lot of wrong moves (IMO) with regards to raids, issuance of ex raids and mew. Its now about fixing / retro-fitting and existing system with new stuff and keep things interesting. But i seriously doubt they have had proper engagement with their fan base like other games out there.

On another note... i created a new account (for fun) and did 1 raid using a free pass at level 6. Lo-and behold... this account has now obtained an ex raid pass.

for rc i keep it at 250pcs at all time if i got ntg to power once over limit ill just pump it to any other mons that need it (D9/Tyra/Blissey/legendary/etc) just to free some space

for your question is abit hard to justify from my pov hahaha candies not the issues to me just that stardust are as i want to hoard till 10m (currently at 5.6m)
but if really want to power up idk if lugia a good over all attacker coz now all my gym attacker goto are Tyra/D9 only but if u got a good iv lugia and spare candies & dust, why not?

Me too...don't have DB/DC D9

But just realised Latios can have DB/DC!  Will it be as useful on a Latios??? Should I tm my just caught CP2074 15attack latios?

What i don't understand is they nerfed m2 stats, and on top of that gave it psychic.... at least futuresight or psystrike la hor....
I guess for now ideal will be a squad of 6 m2 maxed out... 2 with FB, 2 with SB and 2 with Psychic... when needed then can change the moveset.
* hopefully get a good mewtwo next week 2264 / 2269 / 2270 / 2275.... 
I find m2 useful to take down gyms. If only i had few more with 15 atk iv, i would max at least 3 out.
With FB, i find its dps and survivability in normal gym battles is higher vs machamp say against a blissey / snorlax / chansey with ZH and/or DG.

Btw, did you power up Raikou / Entei / Groudon / Kyogre / Rayquaza?
No worries, just get use to DT / OR, its sluggish but a lot of ppl get the hang of it.
I also don't have a good DB /DC D9... its ok.
