How many accounts did you register?

I registered my main only...now need to tell my bro I'll be camping at his house  biggrin.gif
*
Only my main as my other 2 subs are named pretty similar so don't want to expose myself having multiple accounts.

QUOTE(501-Elite @ Mar 14 2019, 09:56 AM)
you submitted for Saturday ?
*
Yes but my friends got it on Saturday.

Already knew before hand that Saturday very risky as popular date but I submitted for Saturday mainly becoz my frens all can't make it on weekday (which I will be on leave hence it was my preferred dates).

If I am to be very frank, I am very disappointed with how the balloting was done.

I have seen people registering with multiple entries (different email with fake details) which each entry with 3 trainer IDs and all are their own accounts.

Guess what? They got invitations for all of them! Very fair huh, Niantic? dry.gif rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(501-Elite @ Mar 15 2019, 09:51 AM)
How is that possible  shocking.gif  i thought the e-mail should be tied to the trainer's ID ?
*
Nope, apparently just need to make sure email is valid so that can receive the QR code. My friend told me that they have friends putting fake name, fake phone number.

One of my friend entered both his main & sub then put a dummy trainer ID as 3rd ID in his registration. Result? He got the invitation.

He has offered me that 3rd slot by asking me to just rename my trainer ID to the dummy one before event which I had politely declined.

I don't want to look like a fool and refused entrance there if any issue arise from it.

Total 125K invitations sent out, I am wondering how many went to the same person? rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

Wow ! your friend so "innovative" to find the loop holes.

Smart choice !  thumbsup.gif by not accepting your friend's offers

but someone got SCAM buying the tickets  doh.gif  doh.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Why would this person even willing to pay now when the QR code is not even been sent out yet? doh.gif

Partially, themselves to blame I would say.

Edit: Assuming if those emails are valid...this is exactly what I meant...how many of those 125K emails actually are different person?

26 invitations? Bloody hell! doh.gif

QUOTE
If you are among the 125,000 trainers who received confirmation emails on 11 March 2019, you can look forward to receiving your ticket with your unique QR code in your email inbox on 12 April 2019. Each In-App trainer nickname registered will receive one QR code valid on the date selected during registration if your ballot is successful. As stated in the terms and conditions of the event, please note that the QR codes shall not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, traded, resold, transferred or exchanged.

How serious are they in ensuring the bolded part do not happen? rolleyes.gif

Noob question: I got a geodude with iv100 but only cp 554. Wondering if it is worth it to keep him. Thanks for all the input
*
A 100% is still a 100% plus only take 1 slot in the bag. Keep it, even if it is as collectible item biggrin.gif

QUOTE(ronnie @ Mar 18 2019, 11:13 AM)
Why not keeping a perfect specimen ?
*
+1.

QUOTE(chamelion @ Mar 18 2019, 11:29 AM)
depend level.
you ready to burn the dust to max it up?
a good pokemon need both IV n lvl.
*
QUOTE(chamelion @ Mar 18 2019, 01:48 PM)
You cant change IV and IV is the potential factor of a pokemon. For same type of pokemon, higher IV allow it have to higher attribute at same level.

Saying so, you also need high level pokemon in order for it to be useful.

A 2000cp pokemon is always better than a 500cp pokemon regardless of the iv...
*
Dust is something you can grind daily but you won't easily meet/catch a 100% mon everyday (unless you are really that lucky person).

But coming back to the question:

Worth to keep? - YES
Worth to power up? NO as there are better options for Rock-attackers (eg: Smack Down Tyra, downside is it is Community Day exclusive moveset).

Trainers,

You did your team leaders proud back when you battled Giratina in its Altered Forme. However, there are still many mysteries to be unlocked about the Renegade Pokémon. Giratina has reemerged from the Distortion World to renew and transform. Starting March 28, Altered Forme Giratina will return to raids until April 2, when it will transform into Origin Forme to keep testing Trainers’ strength until April 29.

Date + Time

Giratina (Altered Forme): Thursday, Mar. 28, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to Tuesday, Apr. 2, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT (GMT −7)
Giratina (Origin Forme): Tuesday, Apr. 2, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to Monday, Apr. 29, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT (GMT −7)
Start prepping your teams to take on this Ghost- and Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region. Stay safe, and happy exploring!

Trainers,

Professor Willow is looking to conduct Limited Research on the impact of weather on Pokémon, with a focus on the Water- and Grass-type Pokémon Lotad. Spin Photo Discs at nearby PokéStops to obtain Field Research tasks that lead to encounters with this Water Weed Pokémon. While you’re completing research, keep an eye out for other Pokémon that could be impacted by weather conditions, such as Castform! See more details below:

Date + Time

Mar. 30, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in your local time zone.

Features

Pokémon that appear due to weather conditions will appear more frequently during the event.
Limited Research tasks will be available when you spin Photo Discs at PokéStops.
Completing the Limited Research tasks will award you encounters with Lotad.
If you’re lucky, you may encounter Shiny Lotad and Shiny Castform in its Normal form!

Move

The move Weather Ball for Castform will be permanently added to the game.

Remember, Trainers! As long as you’ve collected the Limited Research during the event window, you can complete it at any time. Don’t forget—you’ll need to venture onward to many PokéStops in order to get new Field Research tasks and encounter as many Lotad as possible!

We’re looking forward to seeing you out in the field! Stay safe and happy exploring!

Last I played was in 2016 when you could only battle the gym (no PVP) and no legendaries yet. Thinking of getting back as a more casual player. Just caught a Larvitar, hope I could evolve it into a Tyranitar!

I got 360k dust, what should i save it for?

What's the best Pokemon these days?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

It will depends on your area of interest:

a) Raid
b) Gym battles
c) Shiny hunter
d) Perfectionist (only keep 100%)
e) Casual players who don't really mind if all the above are not fully fulfilled

For a start, build a party of Machamp for (b) which will earns you coins to buy pass for (a) laugh.gif
If dust is a concern then look for high level Machop to evolve which will save your dust.

gym battle don't earn coins.

Well, at times you will need to take down the gym before can slot hence Machamp biggrin.gif

Else no point having Blissey if you have no chance to slot in.

Trainers,

They say third time’s the charm. Pokémon journeys begin with a choice between three Pokémon. Your journey in Pokémon GO involved joining one of three teams. Today, we celebrate the third anniversary of Pokémon GO’s release! Throughout this incredible journey, we’ve made countless memories along the way.

To commemorate this incredible milestone, you can look forward to these exciting features!

New features starting on June 28 at 1 p.m. PDT

Shiny Alolan Pokémon — You’ll have a chance of encountering the following Shiny Alolan Pokémon: Rattata, Sandshrew, Vulpix, Diglett, Meowth, Geodude, Grimer, and Exeggutor.
Team leader avatar items — Avatar items featuring the team leaders’ personal styles will be available in the Style Shop.

From June 28, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT to July 6, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT

A familiar face returns to the party! — Once per day, you might have the chance to encounter a Pikachu wearing a party hat when you take a GO Snapshot photo! Pichu wearing a party hat will also be available to hatch from 7 km eggs.

From June 28, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT to September 2, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT

Jump-Start Research — Looking to get up to speed with your research? Do you have a friend who wants to play but feels they’ve missed out on too much in Pokémon GO? Don’t worry! Trainers can complete new Special Research for helpful rewards that will jump-start their new or continuing adventures. This Special Research is only available this summer for players at level 10 or higher, so be sure to let your friends know about this opportunity to join in and get special rewards.
Raid bonuses — Take down Raid Bosses faster and earn extra bonus Premier Balls to catch them with when you raid with friends.
Decreased Stardust costs for trading — Trading Pokémon will cost ¼ less Stardust.

Remember, Trainers: play more with your friends this summer to get the most out of raids and trading!

We couldn’t have reached this epic milestone without you all. Thank you, Trainers, for your continued passion for Pokémon GO and for joining us on this amazing adventure. In the words of our favorite professor, “Let’s GO!”
