A lot of people buying Gift vouchers eg Parkson, Aeon, Giant, MPH etc for Xmas presents etc. It is very common to give vouchers as a gift in western countries.

Are you holding any credit/debit cards? You can get rebate/rewards and win some First-come-first-served games.
Some people go to Aeon, AeonBig, Parkson, JayaGrocer to buy vouchers every 1st of the month or 1st Monday of the week just want to win credit card games. Now they can do it online!
You already got addicted to the discounts which were granted on some special days such as 11/11 and 12/12.

FYI I already used Petronas paper Gift vouchers >10 years ago. Then I kept and used the Petronas Giftcards all the while, which I redeemed my Treatpoints at Maybank Card Centres. So Pet GC is not something new to me.
I will used up all the GCs I bought at RM89 during Lazada 11/11 flash sale and RM45 during Shopee 9/11-14/11 flash sales, before 31/12/17.
For other 30+ GC I bought in Nov-Dec incl 12/12 and 14/12 flash sales, I will use them in 2018 and give some out as Xmas presents.
Even the GCs may be deducted by RM11 (but I feel comfortable as it will not happen), I gained less only but still better than any credit card's petrol rebate (3-10%). I didn't buy the GCs at RM89!

I think so. But normally I finish using the credits in less than 1 year as the magnetic strip card may become defective. Also, Keep the value inside the card for too long is not economical.

GST is a value-added tax.
You assumed Zero Input tax (Supplier's output tax) and all the items sold are GST-able. That's no right in calculating GST Payable.
If Lazada sold items at loss (especially those with discount codes applied), Govt will not get extra GST.

Lazada will be losing multi million RM again this year. Luckily Alibaba invested into cash-strapped Lazada so we continue to enjoy getting the discount codes. The Chinese just want our records for their future Big Data project. One day you cannot live without Alibaba.
