Nicely done. I like it. The old photo were taken in 3 different exposure or taken in a single raw mode then edited?

This one is nice too. I like the colour. There isn't any noticeable noise on both of your pictures. Nice..

If by filter, you mean the filter in front of the lens, then, that has nothing to do with the filter causing the halo. It is caused by your processing stage that you have used a heavier setting. Keep an eye on the high contrast edges the next time you post process your HDR images.

The halo was already there before I process the images as HDR. Slightly noticeable in the original images.
