Hi all,
Not sure if its the right topic. For video encoding knowledge, I'm seeing a big difference between the file size of 10 bit and 8 bit when encoded using the same method. As for Picture Quality (PQ), the 10 bit seems to be over bright and washed out compared to 8 bit with both HDR setting ON on AVR and TV/Projector.

Is there a explanation on this? Can't seem to find it in google as well besides the usual explanation that 10 bit carries more color than 8 bit BUT from my eyes (wearing prescription and getting older sweat.gif ) looks like even a 8 bit SDR is suffice for viewing...

Any comments from the gurus? notworthy.gif
