Im a desktop user, but just bought a laptop for work purpose (newbie in laptop). And yea, as the title above, whats the proper way to charge a laptop battery? I mean if u keep plugged the charger whole day and it stay 100% all the time for 8hours straight and it will definitely damage the battery right and maybe the lifespan of the battery itself. Any advice is definitely welcome and thank you in advance. PS: my laptop model is Asus E402B-AGA132T (vivobook)

when I was in Uni, I remove my laptop battery and plug in the charger when I am using it at home only installed it back when I want to carry around and use somewhere else but in the end my battery completely cannot function (cannot charge at all) within 2 years after that I had been using my laptop with battery installed and charger plugged in model ASUS A43S

just plugged in whenever possible either you use it or turn it off. modern battery won't have any issue. also this way you will find out sooner if the battery is faulty (get bloated) hopefully within warranty period.
