As far as I know both are the same, both offering Easy Pay and the insurance coverage.
You can just cancel the Mastercard, and get their Cash Rebate Mastercard instead.

Erm there can be multiple reasons, like... maybe the bank think that your debt ratio is high, or if you applied too many cards at once, etc.
But to be honest, forumers here won't be able to answer this kind of question, better call bank directly

Hmm but RM60 + RM60 by spending RM4000 per month
vs
RHB Shell RM50 + RM50 with RM2.5k per month

But I guess it also depends on which petrol stations are nearer haha

You are not wrong, in fact, if you see the Credit Card recommendation section, Maybank2Card (AMEX) is one of the top cards getting recommended.
However, AMEX can also be used in many other places (one of forumers' favourite place is to buy certain PIN on Lazada). And since the cashback on AMEX is capped, many forumers will then need to venture out and check for other cards for petrol purposes.
