hi guys, hope some ppl can help me out here. Usually pay my CIMB Cash Rebate from Cimb Clicks directly on 1st of the month (statement due 17th).

When selecting to pay, do you guys usually click statement balance or full balance? Most of the time, full balance will be higher charge than statement balance.

However, for my DEC 2017 statement, my full balance was lower than statement balance. So of cos la I click full balance.

Come Jan 2018, I kena finance charge rm24. According to the customer rep, it's cause I paid Full balance instead of Statement balance. Wtf? I thought full balance means clear all debt. Not my fault if they included the cash rebate in the calculation right? Anyone kena before?

You have to pay statement balance. It's common for CIMB, they don't treat cash back as a form of payment and will charge you for financial charges.

If it's your first time to be charged, try to ask for waiver. They may consider to waive.

Hmmmm didn't know could ask for waiver. Already just paid everything. Sheesh lesson learnt just to pay statement balance and not full balance.

You paid in full and you should not be charged further as you even paid those that had not been stated in the last statement... but for RM24, that's alot too... that's weird...  hmm.gif

Exactly. I thought full balance means all settled no further outstanding. Tbh i don't even know how they ended up at rm24.

For CIMB, must pay statement balance. As simple as this. smile.gif
It could be when he paid his full balance that time it is lesser than statement balance after minus off cash back.

I didn't know would kena punish if paid full balance. It's one of the options they gave so happened to be lower. lol not like I sendiri calculate.
All the cash back I thougth they usually only minus off next statement? hmm confused.
anyway yea will just stick to statement balance from now on.
