My experience is can't choose the currency. They seem to force us to pay in rm.

Based on current and past experience of surfing ringgitplus (RP), rarely see any new customer offer for cimb cc with RP.

You might want to either look for other offers outside of RP..

It applies to ALL cimb card. Not unique to this card. For foreign websites, either pay in foreign currency or choose another card to pay.

If i'm not mistaken, many years ago when i had stan chart, they also charge the 1% but i could be mixing it up with another bank.

There are reports on missing bonus points on TWE for those who opted to change statement date (I am not aware which direction of the statement date change though). I believe for that situation, a call is needed and manual adjustment involved...

The same could have happened to your card (albeit it is cashback) even though it's a different card. Same system after all.

Their online application is very ok. Cant say it's the best but more than serves its purpose

Conversion wise, TWE is better.

Alternatively there is Maybank 2 premier, which is better than SCB also.

Twe don't need to attend. Just spend 10k only.

Unless you want 4 nights stay then you attend the presentation.

btw, just curious, anyone can managed to get annual fee waived despite not meeting the minimum spend for TW or TWE? thinking if i have the most remote chance of continuing the card.

TWE and TW probably has slight differing requirement. Just go through T&C carefully on your own.

Yes. I claimed the hotel and came back. Was in wyndham grand phuket. Hotel was fancy enough with private pool but does not have its own beach. Boring but solid stay.
