Me new to bank also cannot get waived/rebate. Very saddd 😭

i am new CIMB credit card user too(got the card on mid of Sept)..i called to CS ask for waiver and got it..they refuse to give the rebate at first..then i mention my other CC can give me rebate only they give the rebate..

but the rebate will only be credited to the account after three successful transactions..

not sure next year will get it anot..

Me got end of September. Just got call back from CS, he by mistake give wrong information.
Yes can get with T&C. Must new to bank, 3 transactions within 60 days date of approval.
But, rebate will be credited within 14 weeks.
Ok la, at least got something....

Please update if u already get ur rebate into statement.

Hie there.. would like to ask something.. recently cimb offered automatic balance conversion.. is it good to take that option to settle the cc outstanding or better to opt out?

Also, if we agree to it..will it affect our chance to apply other loans?

If it's 0 upfront fee and 0% interest yes, else no, you're just losing money to the bank by making them rich from interest earned, especially if you can pay in full.

DSR will be high hence might affect loan application

just wait until 2 or 3 days before your statement date..call to CS again if you still see no rebate is credited into the account..

Based on the past history, does CIMB always have a promotion for new credit card applications? Will they have a new one on November 1?

I don't like the current promotion because I will apply at the branch, not online. Also, maybe the prizes ran out already. It says first X customers only receive the reward.

i think statement refers the summary of transaction for certain period...both statement and transaction has shown the rebate..

of course you can call to CS anytime once you have fulfill the criteria..if you call too early i afraid they will ask you to wait for the rebate to be credited into your account..

mind to share it has been how long already since you done the three successful transactions?

Tot after 3 transaction it will auto give away into transaction list. As my MBB yesterday redeem point for svc tax, today already shown in transaction list.
Just call, CS said will be credited 1 day before statement date. and if not in 14 weeks after campaign ends which mean 14 weeks after 31-dec.
Different CS give different info
will just wait then.....

i will say MBB is more efficient though my experince with MBB counter service is bad..

i think the CS is right because the rebate is credited on my statement date though i done my third successful transaction on 7 Sept(i actually got my CC end of Aug)..it is almost two weeks time..

Just sharing. If you want to apply for a credit card by pledging a fixed deposit account, the minimum amounts are:

Generic cards like cash rebate platinum MC - minimum rm2,000
Premier cards - minimum rm25,000
