Just for everyone reference. I called to CC today trying to get full waiver, after being charged half by system. Unfortunately, the customer service is very adamant that no further waiver will be given. So no choice I just proceed to cancel the card even though quite reluctant as have to go thru all the hassle updating my auto payment services. Luckily still maintian M2U Dual card... haha, now back to the old duo.... Only major lost I think is no more PPL First when travel... Bye bye TWE!

They said the rewards point will be credited to your other account like saving account and still can redeem it later. Not sure how true, I have converted most of my points to Enrich previously,  so I don't bother too much. Also, they said I can view my final balance as some of the cc transaction not even showing up yet, so no way for me to clear the balance. Anyway, feel a bit sad letting this card go as it is the only card that entitle to PPL First... hahaa

Nope. So far nothing. Gonna be putting it aside for local spending.

Just hang on till the annual fee, hopefully once they see the spending drop, they will re-activate this promo

For CIMB TWE users, may I know which cards you guys are using now for local transactions to earn airmiles? I'm struggling to find one comparable to TWE (before revision).

CIMB TWE users, which ones will you guys convert to before the revision? I guess EM? Or any better suggestions?

most of my cc miles converted to EM and i use it to redeem for flight & hotel.. occasionally i booked a hotel for friends/families and exchange it with cash 

I always ring CIMB to redeem my airmiles, easier for me.

I don't have so many overseas spending that's the problem. I also applied UOB PRVI Miles for overseas spending, it seems the points conversion rate is better than TWE.
Why not local 2xBP CIMB TWE vs 1xTPB AVI? Sorry, I didn't calculate. I also have HLB Sutera for some retail spending but it is not good rate too.

I miss the good old days of CIMB TWE.
