Has anyone managed to get annual fee waiver for TWE?

Anyway, good to see this after spending enough to waive the AF. Gonna keep the TWE for another year. Too bad everything is coming to an end this month. cry.gif

I doubt I can get the full waiver. Half waiver at best. Not sure if I should be keeping the card.

Just for everyone reference. I called to CC today trying to get full waiver, after being charged half by system. Unfortunately, the customer service is very adamant that no further waiver will be given. So no choice I just proceed to cancel the card even though quite reluctant as have to go thru all the hassle updating my auto payment services. Luckily still maintian M2U Dual card... haha, now back to the old duo.... Only major lost I think is no more PPL First when travel... Bye bye TWE!

Have you redeemed all of your miles when you submit your request? Just wondering if I should be redeeming everything prior, or I can wait till I'm being charged AF.

They said the rewards point will be credited to your other account like saving account and still can redeem it later. Not sure how true, I have converted most of my points to Enrich previously,  so I don't bother too much. Also, they said I can view my final balance as some of the cc transaction not even showing up yet, so no way for me to clear the balance. Anyway, feel a bit sad letting this card go as it is the only card that entitle to PPL First... hahaa

Can I ask when is the annual fee usually charged. Let's say if my annual fee for year 2023 is charged on 12 Jan, which is my first statement date Can I expect my next annual fee to be charged on 12 Jan 2024 as well?

I think it is better to convert all of my credit card points before the annual fee is charged. Sadly I cannot wait till the next enrich miles bonus miles promo.

Nope. So far nothing. Gonna be putting it aside for local spending. sad.gif

I’m gonna cancel next month if no new promotion comes in by then. What a sad way to end this card 😢

Just hang on till the annual fee, hopefully once they see the spending drop, they will re-activate this promo

Yes gonna hang on till the last second. My annual fee is going to be charged in my Jan billing cycle.

For CIMB TWE users, may I know which cards you guys are using now for local transactions to earn airmiles? I'm struggling to find one comparable to TWE (before revision). sad.gif

Personally I am opting for UOB PME and Alliance VI. Of course the points conversion is nowhere near TWE but its better than nothing.

However, in another thread, it is also being mentioned that Enrich miles is being hugely devalued. At this point of time I am not sure if miles are still worth it anymore.

Might revert back to cashback too.

CIMB TWE users, which ones will you guys convert to before the revision? I guess EM? Or any better suggestions?

I converted everything into EM despite its recent points devaluation. I would have preferred KF but sadly CIMB does not have KF.

Aim for the next bonus miles promo from EM.

I always ring CIMB to redeem my airmiles, easier for me.

Alternatively, you can also submit a redemption request via this eform. I did it several times already.

I don't have so many overseas spending that's the problem. I also applied UOB PRVI Miles for overseas spending, it seems the points conversion rate is better than TWE.
Why not local 2xBP CIMB TWE vs 1xTPB AVI? Sorry, I didn't calculate. I also have HLB Sutera for some retail spending but it is not good rate too.

I miss the good old days of CIMB TWE. cry.gif

UOB PRVI Miles Elite and Alliance VI. If under the 5x and 8x category I will use alliance, else just use the UOB.
