Experience 3: Egypt, nice friendly people, quote high price but don't force us to buy. Our tour guide brought us there, told us pit stop, told us don't worry, no obligation to buy. Tour guide was from a tour company.

wat my encountered they were offered me a very good price to visit great wall + ming's emperor tomb and mention they wont force us to shop.

but eventually they brought us to 1 of the lousy great wall and tomb visit is purely on the bus.
lunch was included and according to other china tourist, the food is worse than dog food

then brought us to shop titbit and threaten us tour guide job is very pitiful, hence force everyone must spent on the shop. we did some shopping, at lowest damage possible

and then the main course served, they drop us and force us go into lower ground of shopping centre, guided by a lot of thugs, we wait for like 1hr then only 1 taiko fella came in share about his story

he said he have shares in 1 of the macau casino, now his dad is very sick, according to feng shui master in order to sustain his dad life, he must collect 100 wishes/money from strangers. he does not take money for no reason, thus he sell jade to us

so damage for me is rmb100 to buy a pair stupid jade worth rmb20, bloody hell. finally he willing to release us after we all bought some stuffs from him
and funny is, not just only 1 bus, there are like 20-30 bus parking outside and we (include some china tourist) keep scolding the bus driver but the bus driver keep pretend that he is innocent

This is bad. When was this? The tour agency is from Malaysia or their Chinese partners or direct from Chinese tours?

I thought this travel agency is reliable. Mana tau sama sama. They knew it but still bring us there. Truly disappointing.

I can accept if they mark up the price, but i strongly disagree with themarketing tactics.

Yes. Mark up is OK but when they put up a "show" to try to con you and it is bad acting, that is very insulting! But still, there are always naive people that are less "discerning" that will fall for it.

Last year, I joined a Korea tour with shopping stops. Those sales person are aggressive as well, but they never use dirty marketing tactics to scam u. Even tour guide doesnt pressure us to buy stuff frm the shops.
merci

I also got scammed in Beijing. Scammed in the medicine shop as well as in the jade store.

After that incident, I join tour again. All DIY tour
