I am not so familiar with Malaysian brokers.

But if you like to trade foreign stocks, Interactive Brokers is really really recommended.

There is no THE BEST broker, every broker got Pros & Cons. Its depends on what kind of trader/investor are you and what kindly of facility you need. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

At the moment if you compare with brokerage,

1) M+ charging the lowest comm for Cash Upfront acc,

2) UOB Kay Hian offer the attractive package for Collateralize acc.

Welcome to trading world =)

If cash upfront, M+ is good.

Hi, former M+ and CIMB user here. I have been using RakutenTrade  for 6 months already and the experience is excellent for the moment. Good stock screener, customer support always responsive, and good deal of air Asia BIG points (2000 for opening, 500 for each referral, many giveaways...)

For me it is a no-brainer. State-of-the art brokering with nothing to envy to other platforms I use in Singapore and Europe.

I also opened a Rakuten account a month ago. Very interactive and clear interface. The only con is it doesn't have intraday trading and IDSS.

I also use interactive brokers. Very low pricing especially if you like to invest in US stocks and bonds. Also they have a professional desktop client that is really cool if you are a bit more serious about trading and analyzing your portfolio.

These are their prices which I think are competitive:

they are not targeted at newbies though. If you are not comfortable with using stock symbols and know the terms used by traders and financial analysts their interface might just overwhelm you with information and confuse more than help.
