Hi all, just wanna ask if anyone face a/c issue. While driving, a/c suddenly blow warm air or outside temp air with stale smell.

Tried many things like change battery, on off a/c, go to workshop, all cannot solve. Workshop tested and straightaway said compressor issue.

However when i tried to turn the blow mode all the way to windshield defrost back to face level blow several times, then off and on the a/c again, things get solved, hopefully for good.

Suspected the system confused with heater mode and a/c. Any other solution to this?

maybe gas not enough,so when there's no gas, so it cant cool the air so it will blow hot air, but when gas is there, it will blow cool air..

if u the dial getting crazy, maybe u can use a  multi-meter and check...whats the resistance...is it fluctuating or not...but im not sure which wire to tap...must ask kenny sifu..

or someone else here have a better idea...im just guessing

Workshop said gas is enough.

When the problem happen, it happen for months. While stationary, cannot hear compressor kick in. But when a/c working randomly, air is very cold.

This morning, after cold start the car and drive to a traffic light near my house, the a/c is working while stationary. But everytime it kicks in, my battery voltage go down to 13.2 and then go back up to 14.3. I use the usb charger with voltage meter.

After a long drive to work, while in traffic jam, the voltage did not go down when compressor kicks in.

I used to face such incidents when warm air comes out of the air-cond. Then i noticed that the LED light on the far right dial (temperature dial with a car icon) was off (meaning no recirculation). After i pressed the dial and the LED comes on, the air turns cold again. This happen when i used AUTO air-cond mode. Sometimes, i accidentally pressed the temperature dial.

The LED on the temperature should remain lit.

Hope this helps. Cheers!

Your car is 2.0p i assume. Mine is 1.8e with manual a/c.

My far right dial is on, meaning circulation is on and no smell of lorry exhaust. I guess my issue is a bit different from yours.

But thanks anyway for the clarificafion.

that is just normal, might be battery is weak. but anyway, maybe the aircond sensor is faulty, it detect the ambient temp in the cabinet already <18 celcius so it doesnt start the compressor, in fact it is not, so when sensor is working, it will start the compressor, when its going haywire, your compressor starts randomly?
*
I first thought it was battery issue. But change battery recently and the issue just gone from bad to worse, until i somehow learn to swap defrost mode to face blower multiple time to fix the issue momentarily.

Maybe sensor issue as you explained. As air is super cold when no issue. But turn to room temp randomly.

Your spec is 1.8 or 2.0 ?
Auto climate control problem ?
U can try to press and hold ur temp button till it beeps, it will shut off that function then it will never control air flow or circulation anymore.
*
1.8e with manual a/c.

So far still happening every day. But i will switch to defrost and back forth few times until i can feel the cold air to solve the issue temporarily.

Guys, I get my CVT full service and J-Tech Autoserv and now issue solve. Seem like Inspira or Lancer quite famous in CVT Oil overheat.
*
Did mine there too...now no more overheat and whining sound issue. So far no need to install cvt cooler.

What EO do you guys use for your Inspira? How much and where do you buy them?
Found 5w-30 Syntium 3000 seems real cheap (RM139 5L) in shopee/lazada but I wonder if it's fake or not.
*
I tried syntium years ago with my 1.8, a lot of knocking sound when paired with any RON quality from any gas station brand.

Somehow, i found Maxxoil 0w-20 paired with ron95 petronas give the best balance of power and fc. It's about rm200 incl. labour and performance would maintain until 7,000km+ when you can start to feel low speed sluggishness.
