Ohai. 2012 CVT 2012 2.0L Premium still going strong.

No problem until today. Just go periodical service according to Proton, go back Proton dealer service, pump petrol and jalan. Air con still cold.

Owait, got problem. The paint is failing, cause the driver say "car is to drive one not to wash one".

Must be the most boring car ownership ever. Don't need to do any car stuff. Still on same suspension since day 1. Mostly highway travel. Only thing is the Michelin Primacy tyres very expensive for the gay tyre size.

Who say Proton no good. The Campro engine still powderful.

2012 inspira should be using Mitsu Mivec engine. Not Campro

I open hood, the engine cover got Proton logo on it. Not Mitsubishi logo. Please I know what I bought ok.

I buy Proton. Proton engineers keep the Mitsubishi power window, and the other parts but upgraded it with Proton best technology the Campro engine. Mitsubishi not so shameful put their logo on other company engine.

It's a mitsubishi mivec engine with proton logo engine cover 😅

Mana ada engine campro 2.0 litre for mass production.

You ada Inspira or not? Or you just see picture on internet? Don’t believe what you see. Inspira also use CVT, same like Preve campro with CVT.

Hi all sifus,

I'm looking to change my wheels after 10 years running stock and I saw the R3 wheels and I'm interested.

Part number: RSW05008A2

I have looked up online and couldn't find anywhere that sells this, I have messaged the PROTON page on fb but they haven't replied.

I would like to keep the rims the same size as the stock.

Does the sifus have any idea where I can get genuine R3 products? I may consider their R3 exhaust in the future too...

Thank you.

Advanti made those wheels, don't think it is still in production. You can hunt for used ones but many "cutting ori" fakes out there. And why you want to keep 16"? Buying tyres is a pain in the ass, better upgrade to 17" with more tyre options. Been always using Michelin XM2 then XM2+, recently upgraded to Primacy. Expensive and hard to find it in stock.

I thought 205/60r16 is one of the most popular tyre size?
*
It’s not popular for sure. Rarely got UHP choices in that size. Late model year Inspira was riding in 215/50R17 which has way more tire choices including stuff like Mijilin Pilot Sport and this size is also shared by the Civic FC — I think it’s the non national make best selling car in its class.

Even cold brands like Kumho PS31 has size for 215/50R17

60 series tyre choices mostly eco / touring. 50 series you get to choose both eco / touring and performance

Ah, I think this is why. 205/60r16 is honestly for people that wants a more comfy ride and cheaper price, not for those wanting UHP. I downgraded the rim of my car to 16" because of this.
*
I don’t think it’s cheaper because the cheaper brands don’t usually carry the size, e.g. Kumho, Hankook,

Also look at the tyre price list under tyre talk. This size used to go for RM4xx per donut. And limited brand/model.

Now got UC6 sub RM400 and Toyo NE3 sub RM300. But these are not tyres I would want to install on my car…
