I personally checked with the PJ's SC previously and I was told that the warranty will only void as to the extend of the modded parts (eg: if you mod the tires then everything related / connected thereto goes with it which means you cannot then raise a claim for wonky suspension however if your gearbox gives way and it's not due to such modification then you should not be barred).

... then again, this is like "got say like no say" because it is up to BERMAZ to determine whether they are "related/connected" or not.
the 12V port (inside the glove box) shuts off few minutes after the engine is turned off.

the TMPS module is installed by replacing the original tire valve so no, it will not void any of the manufacturer's warranty (since it is reversible anyway) but you can't raise any claim if your tires go crazy (bulging etc.) therefore unless you are going to link and activate the TMPS via the i-ActiveSense suite, I don't see there's a problem with it.

we don't but the features are just locked behind software so it can be activated.

there is a technician over in Thailand that can apparently activate all these "hidden features" provided that the hardware are installed.

You can join the Mazda3 FB's page once you have taken delivery of your car - the group recently organized a convoy heading towards Thailand looking for this technician. I don't think they have departed yet, not sure because i did not follow.

Why not go for original TPMS... the thai foreman will come to hatyai this coming 29-30 Dec.. all u need to get tyre sensor ready

I booked Mazda3 Liftback H+ and requested manufacture year 2024. I was told I can get the car latest by Feb. While waiting, I actually plan to mod the car (this is my first car and a newb). Was wondering what kind of mod will void the warranty? Does changing the muffler void the warranty? not the whole exhaust system.

Just changed 2 set of tyres. Got unlucky that my front right passenger tyre experienced bulging on the sidewall. It is a pain in the arse to find the original tyres that came with the car as a lot of tyre shops doesn’t carry the 215/45 R18 tyre size.

Luckily managed to procure and installed the original tyre brand and size that was installed originally with the car (Bridgestone Turanza T005A, 215/45 R18). Cost me RM520/tyre.

gsan, saw your signature you got the VXDiag diagnostic tool. How much did you bought it for and from where did you get it? Is the diagnostic comprehensive enough to view car’s parameters?

Called Bridgestone Malaysia at first to enquire about stock availability. They said don't have any stock available and ask to call their main distributor for any leftover stock. FYI, they do import this size 215/45 R18 89W, just that it is sporadic stock intake.

Next, I called the main distributor and they are useless as they don't really want to entertain personal request.

Next, called various tyre shops that carry Bridgestone tyres (getting the list from Bridgestone Malaysia's website) and ask around for any leftover stocks. Found one shop at Kota Damansara, PJU, who managed to source the tyres for me.

Did consider Michelin tyres. Same thing, first thing first, called Michelin Malaysia if they do stock the same size of tyres. They said yes to stock availability for both Michelin Primacy 4 and Pilot Sport 5 and asked to call various tyre shops who stock Michelin tyres. Michelin is my backup plan to replace all 4 tyres in the event I cannot find the same Bridgestone tyres.

Not a fan of having 2 different tyre brands on the car.

Michelin Primacy 4 recommended selling price is from RM648.00 (215/45 R18 93W, extra load) while Pilot Sport 5 (215/45 ZR18 93Y) is from RM939.00 (prices available from Michelin Malaysia's website).
It is squeaky noise when braking? I had the issue where the rear left brake disc was eating into the disc brake (clear abrasion seen on the disc itself). Changed the brake pads under warranty and the sound went away. First time with the dealership mechanic unable to produce the sound. Went back home and the second time I drove, the sound came back and immediately went back to the dealership. Mechanic saw the abrasion and was able to hear the noise as well. It was a high pitch, high frequency noise. Ask for a younger mechanic to confirm the noise as the noise was usually high frequency sound and older mechanic might not be able to hear them due to age related deterioration of hearing.
