newest model?

Nah. It's the current model. I asked the SA when the new model is in and said only August or September. Might only be available in CBU form.

There was article mentioned that Bermaz will be cutting out the M3 from their CKD plans and swapping it with the CX8 in their efforts to focus on SUV due to better margins.

Not sure how much of it will be true though.

Have any one installed a front dashcam on their M3? Wonder how did you all route the cables to keep it hidden?

Also was it connected to the fuse or via USB?

Hey guys. Need your expert opinion. Currently torn between the M3 sdn and hb. Heart prefers the hb. But heard that the hb handling isnt as good as the sdn. So just wanted to hear your opinion and also reviews. Thanks again good fellas.

In terms of handling it shouldn't really differ much between the SDN and HB. HB should technically offer better handling.

Asthetics wise, I prefer the HB which is why I recently also bought the HB.

Hi all, am very interested to get m3. geared towards sedan but still not sure of gl or hs. Any issue on the 18 inch rim? Heard it's high maintenance and bumpy ride, I mainly use for daily use and not genting cornering everyday. no family yet.

any spec will probably be a huge upgrade as I am currently on my 10 years old myvi.

I understand the new m3 is out and coming soon in bout half year. tho the sedan version looks very polished, it's probably gonna be forever cbu. Will such move increase the maintenance and rv of current gen m3? I just checked carlist and the m3 2014 onwards seems pretty strong. But not sure bout the future with this move.

the new m3 is pretty expensive if cbu (i will rather get cx5 with that price), thus no plan to wait for that.

Already test drive this vs Civic and probably gonna settle with m3 this weekend. Civic spacious and comfort, but the exterior is not my liking and overall due to the size, the car feel a bit bulky (雷) to drive..(anyway if not m3, I ll happily settle with the new civic2019 later)

Please advise, thanks.

Hi carloza81, no issues for me on the 18" wheels, it maybe a little more bumpy than from a myvi (me coming from a 2011 Toyota Vios) but it is also due to the set up of the suspension to be slightly more sporty feel.

As for the cost of 18" tyres, it also depends on what kind of profile tyres you are looking at. It could cost ranging from +-250-ish up to 450-ish per tyre.

There have been news stating that the new m3 would remain as a CBU for the CKD production to be reserved for the SUVs which is more profitable, aka CX3, 5 and the upcoming CX8. Though things may change in the future depending on consumer demand. On top of that, it is also rumored that the base line m3 will start from a 1.5L engine @ approx RM140k.

RV wise Mazda have been doing well for models 2014-2015 onwards.

One thing to note on the Civic, I find the car's panels are softer and hollow-er. This was part efforts to lighten the car as well as cutting cost (please correct me if I am wrong in this department).

Maybe the pricing "insanity" has some standing :
https://www.carlist.my/news/not-gona-be-che...mw-level/54846/

Pricing is almost 1 segment higher compared to competitor, unless mazda really want to go the semi premium route...

Thank you.

I believe that Mazda is already on that strategy. IMHO.
