Where do you guys recommend to apply that plastic film body coating? I remember reading that it helps prevent scratches from little rocks

QUOTE(Ginny88 @ Oct 29 2018, 08:33 AM) You mean wrapping. Don't waste your money. You will be spending more to protect your paint than it costs to respray the car. The wrapping also deteriorates after a year with bubbles, curling and non-reparable scratches and eventually has to be torn away. That's when you will regret big time. Either the glue stays on the paint or the glue has fused into the paint and tearing off the film also takes off some paint. QUOTE(KnightSports @ Oct 29 2018, 09:12 AM) If you mean paint protection film (PPF) then there is a lot of places now. Even some tint shops do PPF nowadays. I see, cause noticed a lot of fine scratches on the car now But price is not cheap as it can be into thousands just to wrap a complete front end of a car. It doesn't prevent all stone chips. Only certain situations and the more minor ones. There are situations that a stone can still be fast or sharp enough that it penetrates the film and still damage your paint layer. Did you guys use anything to protect the paint? Seeking for solutions now, even wax also got so many types need to learn all |

Anyone know how to remove water spots? Those road side carwash can remove them or not?
Bought a bottle of meguairs ceramic wax but can't use yet because of it. ![]() The detailing forum suggested using a clay bar (abrasive material), but not sure if it would work well with Mazdas paint since its such a thin layer |

QUOTE(wkc5657 @ Aug 20 2020, 04:09 PM) 1st choice - michelin primacy 4 (expensive) Recently saw that I need to change tires so started researching a bit. Found out that the front tire balding way more than the back, now choosing between Michelin Primacy 4 or Hankook Ventus Prime 3, but being a cheapskate and replacing the front 2 only, got any shops to recommend?2nd choice - continental premium contact 6 (rare, may need special order, could be expensive, good thread thickness) bridgestone turanza t005/t001 hankook v12evo2 (stocks are running low for this as phasing out) hankook ventus prime 3 falken fk510 (best balance of price/comfort/grip performance) goodyear f1 asymmetric 5 (if can trade a little comfort, this one has really thick thread, and good wet performance) nexen nfera su1 (the thread pattern seems to indicate ok nvh levels, not a popular brand, pricing is very attractive) Read that it's recommended to shift the back tires to front when replacing 2 only, but then that means the front wont benefit from those new silent tires, ugh. Wish I learned about tire rotation sooner and wonder if Mazda SC can do it when send for checkup. To anyone else reading go to shop and change back tire to front so your tires last longer as the front tires bald faster than back |

QUOTE(linkin182 @ Sep 11 2020, 11:08 AM) Thats the sad part, new tires to reduce road noise which is at front side but have to put it at the back, end up like no difference later in road noise Token liked this post
