Hi all, I have been lurking around. I currently drive a Honda Civic and thinking of switching to Mazda 3. I know if I ask here, surely the answer would be " Yes, it's a great car!" Haha, I am already going to book a unit, just still uncertain about getting the Sedan or Liftback. And if the H+ model is worth the additional RM10K.
Thanks so much.

I would certainly suggest to take an actual look at the cars themselves.

If boot space is something you need, Sedan it is. In terms of rear seats, I don't think the space is that much different, but due to the door design, Liftback windows are smaller, but you really need to sit in the actual car to determine if its okay for you. Just looking at pictures won't cut it.

From the previous posts and what I know,
Bermaz Jalan Ampang has a Sedan H+ (pre-2022) for test drive
Mazda TTDI has a 2.0 Liftback show car (2022 model)
Mazda Cheras has a 2.0 Liftback test drive car (2022 model)

I would recommend getting the H+ because of all the additional safety features, especially
Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Smart Brake Support

I wonder how long would you need to wait if you book now
*
Exactly my sentiments. But most cars require waiting time of at least 3 months now.

the liftback is a headturner for sure

i've seen mazda3 sedans on the road but those didnt attract me, but the liftback does because its styling is very unique

Aarrgghhh...now i am torn apart.

watch from 3.10 onwards.

maybe this review will settle your indecisive.

i also think that the sedan looks better than the hatch. but it all comes down to your own personal preference. both cars are sexy as hell  wub.gif

Haha, thank you for the assurance! I have placed my booking, hopefully not too long of a wait.

I'm not a user of Trapo mats but got some bad comments in this thread.

but you can always try it out and let us know.  icon_rolleyes.gif

personally I might get 3D mat if I'm going to change the mats
*
Thanks! Was looking for similar thread, now I will do some reading. Are you using their original car mats? Is it necessary to change them?

I will probably try out the stock mat for a while before deciding to change it to anything.

Maybe you're too semangat want to spend money before even getting the car? laugh.gif

Haha, restless.

this is your compulsory paid accessories to Bermaz, get the Skytint and Mazda Carpet. Suggest removing the windscreen tint and upgrading to a better spec tint if wanna save money. But most owners I know will add double tint the rest windows as well.
Suggests PPF>Coating if u rajin wax monthly basis.
*
Usually when is the best time to install PPF?
I will be collecting the car in KL and driving back to where I am. Should I do the PPF in KL first or take the risk driving back in the highway and install here? Hmm

Best time is immediately after you collect the car.
Highway is the most common source of stone chips btw if u drive fast n tailgate. Do it in kl before u go back
*
Any recommendation?

When the car is new, hence install straight the ppf. If u are just 90-110kmh driving pattern, ppf kinda not worth it considering the price. But if u always at the right lane, above speed limit, ppf it is. Too many rock chip happened at highway than normal road.
*
For my previous cars, I have not even installed PPF lol. So this is something new to me. Just do normal coating only..itu pun maybe those budgeted ones.

Also, the driver attention alert (DAA) has an additional camera on the centre display console.
RM4000 for the windscreen coverage is more than enough. Get coverage for full convulsion of nature (i.e. flood, typhoon, earthquake, etc.). I renewed my insurance for my car from Berjaya Sompo's Mazda Premium Insurance (MPI) and RM4000 for the windscreen coverage only is more than enough.
You just got duped into covering more for the windscreen.

Now that you mentioned, I haven't pay anything yet. So I guess they can still amend the policy? Sigh.
