Hi sifus,

Planning on getting a new ride, currently eyeing for a used mazda 3 BM facelift (preferably Hatchback). But I realised there isn't much used Mazda 3 being sold around. Been looking at Carlist and mudah for a while now. Do sifus here have idea on where else to look? Appreciate the help smile.gif

I was in a similar boat as you as i liked the hatchback variant over the sedan model mostly because of the overall size but eventually settled for the 2018 CKD sedan after searching for awhile.

You can try Prima Merdu Sdn Bhd for pre-owned Mazda cars (near to the Mazda showroom in Shah Alam).
*
I see... Too bad you didn't find the hatchback one sad.gif same here. I had a sedan before but after realising that I didn't use the boot as much I think a hatchback would be better (plus I kinda like hatchback looks)

I looked through Mazda Anshin website and there wasn't Mazda 3 listed. Do they have unlisted cars as well?

Just want to know, does our CTS capable of going up to 145km/h or 55km/h? Read in an article where they said our CTS has been upgraded up to 145km/h but I also saw the PDF shared here not too long ago where it says up to 55km/h only.

Thanks. I kinda hoping they would give us full range CTS though. 55kmh seems meaningless in M'sia especially. Though I saw on YouTube that it is possible for Mazda to give software update in the future for their customers, not sure if Bermaz would do the same.

brouche mention from 35-55km/h...  funny is last week i went qb for mazda ignite edition exhibition, the SA come to serve me not even know what is cts  laugh.gif

then he asked his colleague, another SA say it can work from 4-40km/h  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
*
Typical SA I guess πŸ˜… or they don't have enough time to go through the documents. I just hope the second SA mislook 145kmh as 40kmhπŸ˜‚

Wonder if they would exhibit the ignite edition in Klang Valley or not. I want to see it myself before deciding. The colour shade for burgundy seat tends to differ from video to video.

I guess we service our car 2x a year.

Congrats on your new ride! If you have the chance, could you test the CTS if it can function up to highway speed and share the results here?

I wonder if they will give adaptive LED headlights as well for this facelift. CX-30 got it on CKD version.

are you referring to the Auto-High beam feature? It was already found in the High+ variant at launch.
*
There are actually 2 different variants of signature headlight depending on the market; one with high beam control (essentially just turning on/off high beam) and the other one with adaptive LED headlights (have LED matrices that can turn on/off individually). Can refer to the pic below for the difference.

then i don't remember the CKD CX-30 has the adaptive LED headlights - can share this here for reference?
go for the ignite and then wrap up the seats with black leather  tongue.gif
*
I don't have any photos of it though I think you can watch some videos on youtube when they launched the CKD version.

But here's the spec sheet for CX-30 in M'sia, it says ALH for highest spec and HBC for the second highest spec (which is similar to the previous CBU version). ALH can light the road further and wider depending on your speed.

didn't know that - no wonder everyone went for the CX-30. it's so much more well spec'd for its price compared to the Mazda3.
*
It is ever since the CKD version is launched. Cheaper too compared to Mazda 3. However I'm not a fan of SUVs hence I wish they would at least maximise the spec for Mazda 3 πŸ˜… Bose speaker and full cruise control with stop and go is a good start.

i knew the CKD CX-30 is much cheaper but did not know that they also up'd the specifications for it - this is a very unexpected move from BERMAZ judging from what they did to the CX-5. they assemble the very high spec'd CX-5 but not for the local market and only exported to Thailand. Very weird.

CX-30 technically is a "cross-over" hahaha but i guess what you mean. As a saving grace, buyers are getting an economical variant of the Purosangue.
*
I think it's due to our tax system in M'sia. Thailand's Mazda 3 got all the bells and whistles, they even get 2 backseat pockets for some reason πŸ˜‚ (not even Japan got this), and the price is still slightly cheaper than in M'sia.

You're right, but I'm not a fan of cross-over as wellπŸ˜… I don't have much use for big cars so I'd rather keep the size small, easier for city driving yet have just enough space and power for long distance.

What spec did they give you for the test car? Went for a test drive some time ago, but the place I went to only had the mid/base spec Mazda 3 sedan.

Not planning to go for a test drive in the near future but thanks for the offer πŸ˜„

Got curious and found this video. Apparently with the right video format (and while parking) you could just plug in your thumb drive and play the video on the screen.

Seems like other than the increased screen size, the software for the infotainment had been slightly updated for the latest M3 IPM as well. The HUD now supports direction from AC or AA instead of just the internal map like previous

Because they neutered the engine?

They used to sell 1.5l spec kosong for 135k ish iinm. So it's natural for people to question why bermaz can now sell the same 1.5l equipped with all the bells and whistles but at the lower price (plus it's CBU). Does that mean the rest of the 2.0 specs are being marked up just for higher profit margin? Or are they taking losses from this new 1.5l high plus?
