didn't know that - no wonder everyone went for the CX-30. it's so much more well spec'd for its price compared to the Mazda3.

unless you definitely need the aesthetics and the bigger engine capacity otherwise 1.5L is as preppy as the 2.0L in terms of city driving, it is only when you start cruising on the highway then you realize you have a smaller engine so at the end of the day, the 1.5L is also a good choice but depending on your driving needs.

the 1.5L is like driving a Myvi but the "premium" variant of the Myvi, a "very premium" one.

alternatively, you can consider the Civic, that's a no brainer and wins the Mazda3 on every grounds (except for the looks).

ouh, yeah haha "that". the value proposition, can't argue on that but the Mazda3 has the looks that the CX-30 cannot replicate.

to be honest, the CVT in the current CIVIC isn't as bad as what the media tries to paint it to be - all these so-called car journalists are complaining because they always floor the accelerator but the thing is, how many drivers does that ordinarily on their daily commute.

i've owned the 12th-gen Altis (CVT) and taken delivery of the HRV 2 months ago and frankly, I couldn't differentiate the way both car shifts UNLESS of course when i floored them then the droning sound of the CVT comes up (but that's like 1 in 10 drives).

so, buy the CIVIC and use the money saved to paint the car Soul Red haha.

yes, the current manufactured one has "auto stop and go" function as part of the upgraded i-Activesense safety suite but not sure if it's activated in the High+ or just in the Ignite Edition only. Mazda called theirs "CTS" i believed.

4 months now, sedan, no rattling sound at all. But tire already changed once due to pothole, that's the risk with low profile tire.
Aside from that, the paint is thin, advisable to have ppf installed. I didn't do that, damn regret now.

this is true for most owners who have replaced their tires with 19's and kept their stock 18's with the tire shop.

IIRC, there used to be panel workshops in the Mazda3 group that helps owner to keep but not sure if they charge a fee or not. i never personally enquire on the same or perhaps they placed it there to help the owners offload them. Either way, this is why sometimes you'd see some owners make post offering to buy back stock rims and most of the time, they are for the purposes of submitting a claim for manufacturer's warranty.

The SA is not wrong as he/she is merely repeating the company's policy in terms of keeping the manufacturer's warranty valid but some owners also shared that they still managed to raise a claim for manufacturer's warranty despite their stock rims have been replaced.

In this sense, there is no clear line determining what modifications is permissible and at the end of the day, modders are at the mercy of the SC as to how the SC would write their report on the submission, whether they would make a full and frank disclosure or they will turn one eye blind.

Never heard unless that shop belong to his family shop. Most of time they ask u to keep at home for their space issues. Suggest take that stock ori rim & tyres at home and use it for any warranty claim issues later in future.

Mazda 3 is a much better car drivability wise. Be it hatch or sedan.
